  • @volglizolic et al: indeed, the whole piece -- depending on who performs it - can be up to an hour and a half long. And that is just Orff's opera. The collection of verses from which the piece takes it's name would make the performance nearly as long as Wagner's "Ring Cycle." (If performed properly, with no omissions, can last 8 hours!)

  • It looks like he changes up the lyrics from latin to german in this movement

  • @r1leyparrott Yep, the original Carmina Burana had some poems in Latin, and some in Old German.

  • Despite the rather shameless nature of the lyrics I can't help liking the light merry character of the Carmina Burana's music. I'm going to be singing it this year with the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay and I can't wait!!

  • Yes, please make more. I want to know the whole thing. It's so beautiful.

  • @SamhainTheDark

In fact there are much more, more than 20

The whole piece is carmina burana and starts and ends with o fortuna

PLS @choirlord08 make the rest .......

    PLS

  • @volglizolic there are some hundreds of them but Carl Orff composed the music for the some of the starting ones only.

  • Is that all of them? Just 8?

  • I'm not a very educated man but this was beautiful, Thankyou.

  • Thanks!! Beautiful!
