As a Brit, I still enjoy Popeye cartoon especially that he was bringing spinach to Britain. In a way, this film was telling you Yanks about the delivery to Britain. If we lost then the USA would be next just maybe.

It is so ridiculous nowadays with people worrying so much about offending others! With this cartoon, it's like, "Hello, Great Britain was at war with Germany at the time this cartoon was made!" Why in the hell should Great Britain have anything nice to say about Germany at that time!? And, guess what? I would have liked to have seen Germany win WW2!
