Not being rude ;) but I used to do this so I wanna tell u. When your lunging u walk in huge circles. Try and stand still other wise your horse thinks sence he's doing work you have to too.

If I were u u probably shouldn't canter 1st maybe go on a smaller tighter circle so there's more contact but he's a beaut horse and ur very talented so keep goin
