In my opinion I say that USC and UCLA are arch rivals because they are like right next to each other and they both hate each other USC fan here and I really could care less about ND I just hate UCLA they suck. USC Fan here. I was at that game. Very satisfying win for the Trojans and ND played hard all the way through, but the talent/coaching gap was pretty apparent. It looks like Charlie Weis's recruiting deficiencies have come to roost with the 2007 game. I'd like to see the series become more competitive again. It's the greatest rivalry in college football.

Once again, an ignorant college football fan. Weis has taken in 2 straight top 10 classes and his current class is slated to be the #1 class in the nation. Don't you mean it was Willingham's recruiting defeciencies that are hurting the Irish this fall? His last three classes (current juniors, seniors) weren't even ranked in the top 40 and only 7 seniors are left in that class. Of course, Weis' coaching does also contribute to ND's losing season.

Right on. In his last game, LSU, Quinn showed what he can do with some defensive help. Big time clutch player, for sure. That game made the SC game look close. He played great against Army, Navy, Air Force, and the Coast Guard Academy, though.

I may come off as bias here...but this is one of those games that was a lot closer than the final score implies. I think had we gotten it those 3 times we forced a turnover we would've won. Not as close as 05, nowhere near but still nonetheless

I doubt that, but it would have been closer. USC is loaded, simple as that. Carroll has done a great job of stacking that program and he's earned all the recognition his program has received in the way of championships, Heismans, and All-Americans. They give Notre Dame something to work toward, which will make it that much sweeter when the Irish do break through against them again.

We dropped three touchdowns where we ended up not scoring at all on those drives. Not to mention the Darius fumble. Brady had nothing to work with that night and he wouldve probably had about 400 yards if everyone wouldve played as hard as him. And maybe if our secondary knew what coverage meant.

excuses excuses..... i could give tons of reasons why USC lost to texas or ucla, but it proves nothing. the score wont change. ND thought they had the game in the bag from the start, but they lost...badly. Immediately afterwards they try and justify themselves. USC still beat Brady Quinn & the Irish without Bush or Leinart...by a greater margin. 34-31 compared to 44-24.

This is an amazing Irish highlight video and it is one of my favorites, which is ironic since we lost. The song "Fix You" is perfect and all of the highlights were synchronized to the song perfectly.

The score to the game was deceiving, I thought we played USC very well. Take away the on-sides kick return and if we converted some fourth downs, it a close one.

I'm looking foward to a Sugar Bowl highlight video.
