I'm trying to make a sonic style web comic. I've made up my own characters (The original sonic characters like sonic, knuckles, etc. will not be in it.) i have the concept, getting the materials planned out and I'll plan my time. i need help with the website though where I'll have the navigation and stuff. please respond, I need help.
i'm starting a web comic i have everything set but i want it to look professional like teahouse, starfighter, and others. i think people draw them, scan them, then color them on the computer but whenever i've done that it looks rubbish. how do i do it?
Hmmm I see your point, I feel somewhat confident, maybe my comic could become famous or I could just have my head too high in the clouds I guess that's what I get for being a 13 year old comic creator, I guess I wont know until I try
@TouchMyButtlerPro Oh two earth boys travel to another planet filled with strange characters and weird creatures if I got in to deeper it would get a little bit complicated
@kirbybros130 sounds awesome! i wanna read it :P mine is about two boys from different schools and one falls in love with the other then war breaks out and they get evacuated together and they both fall in love. it has more to it but yah it would get complicated
This is a great and helpful video. Thank you, nobmouse! ^_^
I'm also trying to see whether I should put my comics in the traditional way or the webcomic way. But see, it's so tempting to do it as a webcomic, because I want to show the world my comics.
You're welcome @ThePhoenixGal :) It's worth noting that there's no reason you can't get a comic printed in the traditional way and also on the web. There are several notable webcomics that also run in print ('Sinfest' and 'Evil, Inc' spring to mind) as well as many traditional comics that have a web presence ('Dilbert', 'Garfield' and 'Nemi', for example).
@grandimister Yes, it is possible to make a profit. I would not go into it expecting to make a profit right away (not unless you are already well known in the comics world and your website is already generating lots of page views) but yes, it is possible.
