God this brings me back to when I was five or six years old. This is the first Sonic series I ever saw. In fact I had a Sonic and Tails plushies and two VHS tapes of this series. I miss this Sonic show. I don't remember much of it, but I remember this theme song and I got real excited when I heard it 'cause it meant that Sonic was gonna save the day and be an epic boss on Eggman's (Robotnik in this if I remember correctly) butt.

The best part is that the singer could have gotten away with phoning it in, like he was just talking up a super hero or something. But no, he sang his heart out. He actually believes Sonic is the fastest thing alive.

This and the very early 90's version of Sonic (the one with Scratch and Grounder) are the best versions of sonic. I particularly liked this cartoon 'cos it was slightly edgier and had a better overall story in mind... they should do a cgi sonic cartoon based around this cartoon, with sonic havin to find the emeralds to save angel isle from robotnik (not eggman)..

Sonic went all gay when they started adding lots of side characters and shadow and this werehog ridiculusness..

Knuckles was planned for the third season, along with Tails getting a bigger role.

Sonic 3 didn't come out until they were working on the second season, so it would have been hard to have him in any sooner.

What's really strange is that I've never forgotten this theme song. Once in a while, it pops up suddenly in my head. Just like the smurfs theme in 1984. I never watched the entire series of Sonic, but that song is unforgettable. Weird. I forgot what year this came out, early 90s I think. I must have been in middle school when this came out.

Amy Rose was in the Sonic Comic around ahem 164 maybe laterish or before. The shows with Sonic in them origionally didn't have her in them.

Sonic X the newer anime version also has Amy AFTER her hair went weird, before she was a tomboy hedgehog her hair was up and siked sideways and she never wore dresses that short lol.

I prefered her in the comic.
