  • Sounds great. How would one of these be towing a car once a month? (race car to the track that weighs about 2tonne including trailer)

  • @koffeeblack It'd do fine, but the maximum tow weight is 2.5 tonne. Brakes would be the weak point.

  • @peoplehelp Cheers mate. Really want a 60, but getting hard to find a nice clean one (I like the Import HJ61rg's), or thinking i should just buy another 80 series...

  • 700 is abit high isnt it ull have dirty great big holes in ur pistond soon lol

  • @bigboywoods2002 Hope not :-|

The 12h-T has oil squirters under the pistons and can carry 650°C without problem. 700°C is a bit high for my liking, but heck I needed to get to the top of the hill! Still going fine 6 months later. Pity I can't see the nice glow from the dump pipe :-)

  • nice workout for the 12ht. how long where you at full boost to get to 700oC?

  • The video started probably ten seconds from the bottom of the climb, so I guess I had my foot hard down and at max boost of 14.5psi for 45 seconds.

It spins up to max boost pretty easily at 2000rpm.

Temperature climbs quicker with high engine load of course, such as 5th gear long hill climbs at 110kmh on the highway.

  • That'd be the 3" exhaust with a small resonator right at the back. It allowed the 12h-t to breath a whole lot better and let me wind up the boost and fuel, and combined with an EGT gauge is the nearly full package for a power boost. Intercooler next.

  • Sounds good.
