Like at any transit system that is in the process of replacing equipment, they will literally run these buses until the wheels fall off. Poor maintenance is definitely the culprit here, but I can't lie that L10 to Voith is one hell of a combo and sounds damn good! LOL
Yeah you can hear it acting up after it shifted into second. Common problem with the Cummins Engine and Voith 863 trannies. Thats why tons hated them(mechanics), but as enthusiast we love the way they sound and that very unique 1st to second transition sound unique to ths combo.
Oh crap! This sounds extremely familiar! Sounds like The Flxibles Transpo had, since they were poorly maintained! Rattled like crazy! But I still miss them!
@ClassicTVMan81 I was blown at how right after i got off at my stop it drove away and had a loud bang followed by white smoke as it kept driving, i knew i shoulda recorded its takeoff....
@bigblockz8 That sounds like a turbo issue specially what you describe that happened after you got off the bus There is a video on youtube of an OC Transpo NewFlyer artic with series 50 engine and that same problem but blowing black smoke.
