  • If you're fucked regardless, you may as well enjoy today while you still have it. lol

  • We should not be so critical of this episode. It may not represent the most captivating entertainment of the series, but it does present a pair of illuminating truths: the other entities of the universe, known and unknown, may not be as impenetrable and awesome as we assume, and murder, even to the goofy little green men, is still ugly.

  • Gotta say, I do not mind ads if i can see this great stuff like in the old days - off the antennae. Except better. On a windy day, reception was a b***h. ;-} Seriously though. the original Outer Limits has always been one of the most intelligent on TV. Glad to see it available here. This way a younger generation can enjoy it as well. Thanks y'all.

  • Wow! Archie Bunker and Professor Bergman in an episode of The Outer Limits.

  • @collegeman1988 Archie Bunker and Lt. Gerard

  • ...and love destroys the universe. True...I have seen much better episodes.

  • Great! Haven't seen this one for probably 25 years. O_o

  • Part 6: If you want to really enjoy a good episode of The Outer Limits then try "The man who was never born". That is truly an incredible plot/story.

  • Part 4: the abc's of earth and humans before taking up a project on earth. I mean how the hell can he come down to earth to and expect to find the answer to the mysterious ways of murder in humans if he doesn't even know how a human looks like (the fact that he himself looks like a human is ironical). This is typical really old crappy sci-fi authors/writers. Look at legends like asimov, they never write such crap. U know why? Because they use common sense and not make up crap so that they

  • Part 3: because, he's not like some super fast creature who can think or act real fast (he's non- super fast ability (if you can call that) is shown when he's not fast enough to observe the bullet) and its not like he would have done something great if he had saved that 11 micro seconds. The next stupidity is shown when he starts describing a human who walks into the pawn shop. WTF!!? I mean he himself looks human and i bet an intelligent creature like him, would have at least learn't the abcs

  • nightmare and this are my favorite outer limits episodes out of this series

  • youngfart00

scary as this series was during the 1960's i laughed my ass off at this one. never take yourself too seriously all of the time.

  • I don't get it. In the end, she still doesn't shoot him, she shoots a cigarette case. How does this prevent the catastrophe foretold by the Mars guy in his instructions to the Mars guys doing the experiment? It would have been hilarious and it would have made sense if she had shot his balls off! He would live, they would marry, but no kids; therefore, no catastrophe!

  • @rtmorphine I realize this was early 1964, but if anyone could pull it off, it would be either Rod Serling & The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits. Carroll O'Connor does an awesome job!

  • great show! thanks for posting... She just shot at him, and then he makes out with her, and everyone else continues reading their magazines... lol

  • lol im about to be 17 and this stuff is better than half of my generaions shows

  • brilliant!!

  • We had more film and airtime than script, I guess.

  • Grace Lee was hot looking here, and even hotter in Star Trek. Interesting coincidence that Grace Lee was on Outer Limits which was a SyFy and Bill Shatner on the Twilight Zone which was SyFy. I guess that they were "destined" to meet on another SyFy, Star Trek.

  • @1bichon1 "SyFy", is what Sci Fi Channel re branded to about a year ago... it has no meaning, and is both a stupid decision, and a horrible idea. Ergo, saying "SyFy" when you are referencing Sciene Fiction, or "Sci Fi", you sound like an idiot. Not to say that you are one, but do you see my point? Back on topic...

this is a fantastic episode of The Outer Limits, and I do agree with you.

  • Great Series. Find more psychic phenomena with the Oracle of the Wish Box

  • SEE MORE CLASSIC TV AT ALLTIMETVCLASSICS. com

  • Brilliant concept, you can see why Gene Roddenberry thought people were ready for Star Trek in 1964.The effects were excellent for the time. This program is one of the first I remember watching as a youngling.

  • That screeching sound effect, over and over, is really annoying. arg... But an "Ok" episode. A little too repititous for me.

  • I agree, i was getting a head ache from all of the backwards shit, like one giant subliminal message, but the end made up for it with its message.

  • This was my favorite episode, brilliant.

  • 31:07

    isnt that archie bunkerrrrrrrrrrr ??

  • Yep, Carroll O'Connor, R.I.P.

  • I like this show, but this episode was just annoying

  • Not enough it's a 10th rate planet. Oh, nooo. They gotta send us to bloody London.

    Sadistic so and so's..

  • I had no idea Carroll Oconnor was such a great actor. What a departure this is from Archie Bunker..This was back in the days when actors could really act, instead of all the CGI bullshit they spew today...

  • fix the audio it was a mono show, this is just stupid

  • Twilight Zone was better..

  • That's why the Sci-Fi/Syfy channel shows every episode ever made on holidays--because nobody will be watching!!

  • "Nothing Wrong With My Telivion set" Its A PC! lol

  • Watch Cult Classics at ALL TIME TV CLASSICS com

  • ALL THESE COMMERCIALS ARE WAY TOOOOOOOOO LOOOOOONG!!!!!!!!!!

They're showing TV-Length Commercials on the Web, AND THEY DON'T FIT!!! GET A CLUE, MGM!!!

  • SoCalOceanz-

That is because internet shows are slowly becoming the new Video On Demand.

We watch it instantly, for free, and they have to make money somehow (sponsors).

When sponsors start paying more, and more people are watching shows online The commercials will become more spread out.

How do you think free products make money?

    Advertisement is a good business.

  • "The commercials will become more spread out."

This show was 51.5 non-commercial minutes per hour in 1964. Current rates are more like 40 show minutes per hour. Commercials will be as long and frequent as people can stand.

  • the hell they just destroyed the universe! =\

  • Wow i quite enjoyed that episode. I'm started to like this old T.V. series!

  • id watch it ,but the sound is to bad.

  • It's great fun seeing these old actors early in their careers. I'm pretty sure that Robert Picardo ripped off Barry Morse for his character on Voyager. And seeing the future Archie Bunker being twee is *interesting,* to say the least.

  • This classic episode of The Outer Limits has 2 well known actors from 2 classic series Barry Morse, from The Fugitive.& later with Space 1999 & Carroll O'Connor, who would later be best known as Archie Bunker on the 70's hit "All In The Family." & it's spinoff Archie Bunker's Place. and later with 'In The Heat of The Night' the series. 2 great talents in one great episode of The Outer Limits.

  • I had the cassettte (VCR) edition of this episode until I had to get rid of it several years ago as my TV/VCR recorder became permanently inoperable (The VCR section. TV still works fine, but actually on its last legs.)

  • The woman is Grace Lee Whitney who had a recurring role on Star Trek as Yeoman Rand.

  • wow she had some nice gams.

  • Dude, for some reason this show and Twilight Zone, both had killer babes-check em out

  • pause at 10:52. Look at his face when he's smoking... LOL!

    great episode also!!!

  • They're smoking joints

  • Is there a setting somewhere on the site that fixes the audio problem...? Like converting to Mono or something? This is a bummer.

  • The problem some people might be having with audio could stem from the fact that it all seems to be only on the left channel, and not in stereo.

  • How come I can't hear the actors?

All that's on the audio track are the sound effects.

    WTF?

  • just watched with no problems.

  • Good Episode.

  • awesome i love outer limets

  • I love these old shows.

  • Actually, he was one of the best actors ever to grace the screen. Of course, you are speaking ill of the dead,

  • Grace Lee Whitney was a total babe in this episode! This is my favorite episode of this series....

  • Those actors had to hold still for some of those shots.

There was no cheating w digital back then.

  • I LOVE this series-what a GREAT idea for Youtube-nice to know this won't get yanked -MORE!:-D

  • IT'S AWESOME! i HOPE THEY ADD MORE VIDEOS! NOW ALL THEY NEED IS THE TWILIGHT ZONE THEN WE'LL BE SET!

  • You can clearly see Carla was in a chilly room-if you catch my drift...

  • My prediction? in 25 years Russell Crowe will be chubby, balding, and make a TV show where he plays a bigot married to a dimwit named Zedith.

    It will resurrect his career.

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Carrol O'connor in Montana :)
