Saw him for the first time live this past September. One of the few performers I've seen that you could see he truly "felt" his music. He was so good he's one that can bring you to tears!
I agree what you both guys said above, Jonny Lang keeps the tradition and also respect the roots of Blues, he's one in a million. Unfortunately most of people don't see it as a real culture, but I must say, things like this don't happen because of people preferences only, it happens because of money. But we all gotta fight against the "Crap factory". It's worth it!

HAHA, come on, you're kidding right??... Have you listened to "lie to me"? He's one of the best blues artists around today. and he's insane on his guitar.. Him and Michael Grimm are the only 2 artists I can really listen to and feel the emotion that comes out of their voices... They are talent, not the crap on the radio.

Yeah his name is Jon Langseth Jr. He has no ties to KD Lang whatsoever. His sister is Jesse Langseth, and she was on American Idol. Look her up she's friggin' Amazing too! They've got some beautiful, genuine, raw talent, that family!! =)

Yeah but now there's Michael Grimm.. He's the guy who won americans got talent last year and he's an amazing blues/soul artist. His album with EPIC records comes out in march. So who knows, he has a chance of reviving some real music as opposed to the pop music out there today. One can only hope.

SO annoying when I read comments on frusciante or lang or any other great guitarists video posts, and see the same crap about comparing them to mayer over and over again. THEIR styles are entirely different. Sure they both have blues backgrounds, but it is like comparing apples to oranges.
