It doesn't matter whether her testimony was good or not (as long as their deal didn't specifically state that if Roxie was innocent, or if the diary turned out to be fake or something like that).

@zdiversable yeah, i thought that too. Like Velma, Casey must've made a deal with her prosecutor (or in this case, bribed or slept with him) to get him to set herself free. So the prosecutor must've lied in court saying they found no evidence that could prove that Casey Anthony is guilty. So she got off, much like Velma Kelly.

Hence, the murderers are the main characters and the innocents are all but ignored, showing that people prefer "Razzle dazzle" to actual standards/morals/truth. That's the magic of being human and having emotions.
