I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo­ooooooo booooooooooooored with this stupid game. I hated it. I kept waiting for something good to happen. I kept thinking, Pyramid Head is around this corner...around this corner...nothing. Nothing scary about the bosses...I even fell asleep during one of the cutscenes. My love for SH revolves around Origins, 1,2, and 3. Everything else is stupid and pointless. SHATTERED MEMORIES...are you fucking serious?

@HotDamn70 SH4: The Room is different from the other silent hill games, but not in a bad way. It is definitely the scariest game of them all with fucked up creatures and atmosphere. It has really interesting characters and a really good story. SH5: Homecoming is dark, scary, and has a good story too. But the game was more focused on the combat making it a little too easy, but this game is my second favorite silent hill game. Hope this helps and answers your question.

@HotDamn70 Yes, that is my personal opinion. The reason why SH4 is the scariest is for several reasons. The atmosphere is very dark and creepy. The monsters are so deformed and they jump out at you when you least expect it. They lurk around so its hard to find where they are. Also the first type of monster you encounter in the game resembles a "zombie." They can never be killed and they float after you and will fucking chase you dude. Don't waste ammo unless you need to slow them down

@DudeDoodDude Well, they did remake the first silent hill game which is called SH7: Shattered Memories, but the game was made by different developers and not by the original team who made the first silent hill game. A lot of people prefer the first three silent hill games as the best ones. I haven't beaten SH1 on the original PlayStation. My favorite Silent Hill games are SH2, SH5: Homecoming, and SH4: The Room.

@Teixas941 i liked the story, very unique. the monsters are disturbing, but are less scary because of the fact your character can do things like dodge moves and special attacks. if you want good horror game, get silent hill 1 or 2, and get 3 if you've played the 1st one. OR get amnesia: the dark decent. its a brilliant horror game. all of those games are really cheap now. but yes,i think this is a pretty good horror game.
