Yes, you know it's called "trills" --ha ha. Good one--I was watching ClassicalJoe's vertsion and you were in the "suggestion" box to the right. "Let me give old Gangly1 another listen" . Wunderbar.
I also like your recording quality, it looks and sounds very professional. I would like to improve the quality of youtube videos as we will all enjoy them so much more. You have won a new subscriber. I love your style I am personally learning all of your videos. Very nice played and a very good sound quality! This is really nice, i'm planing to learn this myself. Very good sound quality.I study guitar five year ago and one day arrive there. Thanks.
hehe I'm sitting right now with a guitar that looks exactly like yours, i think the same one but i cannot exactly know .. the song is really easy to play
If I may ask, what notes are you hitting between the hammer-on/pull-off and the slide you're doing?
The tab I have says 9th fret G-string to 4th fret G-string, then the slide, but it looks like you're playing a different set of notes...(4th and 3rd fret maybe? not sure...)
As I'm trying to learn this song, any help would be appreciated, Thanks ^_^
0:16 sec, again at 0:33 sec, and again at 1:36 sec (right after the pull-off on string three).
Maybe I'm just seeing things, as it doesn't 'sound' like you're going to the third fret at all!
(Also I managed to figure out the song is much easier when you barre the seventh fret at around 0:14, I couldn't tell if you were using a barre chord there or not :X)
(0:16 sec, again at 0:33 sec, and again at 1:36 sec (right after the pull-off on string three).)
I found some sheet music for the song which shows the B string being played on the fifth fret then open... after that, string 1 is played open then fret three, then fret seven.
Is that what you're doing? (The tab I had previously had a slide on the G-string, same notes, so that may have confused you... sorry!)
i've been trying to find a version to listen to and practise, and don't know why i like yours very much. i like your interpretation. less "classic" and more personality.
On your other posts, your guitar sounds HUGE. The reverb sounded like you were in a huge hall. Then you post this, and your tone is softer. So, your tone is all in your hands. Excellent sound and flawless performance. Thanks for the post.
this is a great piece man and you play it better than my guitar teacher :P ;)... i just started learning this... man the middle section to the end is most difficult to play :(... i don't know how i am ever going to get through that :). thanks!
'proper'(?)guitarist! you mean professional? It's always great to hear good professional guitarists play but it's even nicer to hear good non-professional players, because they don't have the same amount of time to practice.
It takes me ages to learn these things. I have a good CD collection of proper guitarists playing them from which I try to muster a decent interpretation.
you played that very nicely, i learnt this piece years ago also, but i never played it as nice as that, i might just dig out my classical guitar again. did you say you have done no classical training, if thats the case you did very well indeed. i did Bourree for my grade 5 thats another popular piece.
Wish I could play this as well as you!!! Have to do this piece for my grade 6 exam in the winter, and i can't get the ending right. How long did it take you to get it right?
I've been trying to get to your latest post but have been busy and every time I take the time to listen, the phone rings, or something. Finally... Very well done, as usual. Those trills look hard.
Thank you very much for posting Adelita. Your play is one of the best adelita ever uploaded in YT. Technically and musically it sounds close to perfect. You are a talented and skillful guitarist.
Great job on this ... and Lagrima, as well. I know what you mean about the 'trills'. I could never do them well either. It's interesting to hear the different interpretations of these two tunes. There are so many videos of them to compare.
sounds a little out of tune but played very well

adelita, é uma música muito bonita, faz parte dos muitos amores de Tárrega
eu acho-a maravilhosa, deve ter sido escrita com muita ternura.
Parabens ao executante.

Sorry.
It is a 1966 Oscar Teller (German made).
They are still going, but some of the older (restored )guitars are available on E-Bay from time to time.
I got this one for (US)$150.00.

Thanks for the nice comment. I am probably playing it all wrong. Never had any lessons, so please don't follow this example!
If you insist, don't play in front of the gas fire (on full blast) with new strings on.
They go rapidly out of tune!!
Cheers,
Paul
