I am not religious and it doesn't bother me that it wasn't in there, however I understand the people's thoughts on this. Their are religious people who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and although I don't know of the unknown....I respect the opinions of others. I respect yours as well.
God doesn't want us to judge one another or to be mean and hatefull he wants us to be like him and love all living beings and to show graditude for all of the amazing gifts he gives us every day. This song is one of them and so are each of you. Gods words arn't ment to be used for negative attacks on things you don't agree with I am sure. I think your negativity is worse then leaving a verse out of a song. None of us are perfect so who are we to judge? Blessed be all!
hmmm fitingly....never heard "twisted" from twister have you.
"Winds lift you up to god, lift you up to god"
obviously interested in "wasting" your time watching stevie for some reason other than what you want to admit. U love her....same goes for all those other "stevie haters".

I notice that she didn't sing "Christ the Saviour is born" in stanza #2. And like a Stairway to Heaven, it "makes me wonder" if she has some kind of "round yon AVERSION" to it. Wonder is maybe she's dancing with an entity of a cloven-hoof.
I think she sounds better than she did in 1987. I like the 2001 version a little better because she kicked the drugs and she traded Robbie Neville for Tom Petty... good idea, Stevie! I love the 87 version, but Stevie hits the notes much clearer in 2001. No klonopin, and no Robbie Neville... "Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah..."
I love Stevie from the old days...but I love the fact that someone who shared the party world of the 70's-80's can make a a beautiful song even better.
Only stevie can do it. She is so awesome! I hope one day I can meet her.

She will be delt with by Jesus, Himself. If she was going to leave out the most important line in the song she should have just not sang it at all.
This is blasphemy.

She also didn't sing the lyrics "Jesus, Lord at Thy birth."
How quaint. Or how befitting, rather.
Bewitched.
