I didn't start the retard insult here. You can see the net come up twice on the other video, and can see the yellow of the pegs. It doesn't have to be off the pegs and to the side, once it comes up the play is dead.

Well the whissle didnt blow because the net came off, and if they did and thats the refs fault because it was late, the call was whether the puck went into the net before the whissle, which it did, any other factor is the refs fault, It was just sux cuz I was there and it was hands down one of the best games ive ever watched

Agreed with all points here. Refs screwed up on the call on ice reasoning, and it was a very good game. UML will be there again this year.

UMass got screwed on the non goal call. They would have been one of the better teams in the NCAA tournament. It's amazing they didn't get an at large bid. The NCAA selection committee has their head in their asses and are if fucked up.

There is no 'selection' committee. There is a committee which places the teams into regionals, the selection is purely by computer, and Lowell knew going into the tournament they had to win to get an auto-bid.

The hockey east commissioner said it was the right call. Benedetto said he blew the whistle and they saw him phyiscally do it on the booth replay (yes he does make good calls occasionally).  Plus the net came off the pins. It may have gone back down on the pins, but it still counts as the net being off according to the rule book. I'm sorry that the NESN commentators didn't have their cinderella story, but this is BU's year.

Take your head out of your ass. The whistle blew well after the puck when in the net and the net came off the pins after the goal was scored. Any moron could see / hear that. The refs fucked up the call plain and simple. The commissioner isn't going to start a controversy by saying it was the wrong call. You must be an idiot.

Were you at the game? The net was jumping up and down as soon as the pile up started. Maybe you can't see the vertical jump in the TV video, which is why you and your NESN buddies threw a hissy fit. You must be a sore loser.

The net may have come off the pins, and if Bertagna said that was the reason why it was disallowed, I would be fine with that. But he didn't. He stated that the whistle blew before the puck went in, and that was the sole reason behind the call. So in that sense UML got royally screwed, but I'm over it. It was BU's year,you played great all season , but now you guys lost a lot of key players and this season is all about Lowell
