The musical mood of this episode, set by standards from the Great American songbook voiced by Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, are picked up in a certain culminating event later in the year.... ;-D
Matuatay and sweetcamera could better comment on the technical aspects, I'm sure, but to me, the many artistic choices--from dramaturgy and script to direction, blocking, and camera-work, from costumes to music, sets and lighting--seem just perfect.
Nope, I couldn't say it better than you did:) You always have a wonderful, incisive way with words. I too find the whole episode perfect and endlessly sigh-inducing! I'll just add, that even with all the perfect technical and artistic choices made, it would be nothing without the talents and off-the-charts chemistry of Fin and Tristan...
Anna: How about a nightcap?
Robert: My place.
Anna: Great.
