@Stihlpony you make a very good point big motor big turbo equals fast car but building a big motor car is easier cause you see guys do it all the time and have companies that build motors like that for customers all the time but have a 3 liter inline 6 that one is still street-able, making anywhere 400-1600hp and to the untrained eye looks stock or maybe slightly modded, and it's more expansive because there is no manual to say all you need are these parts with this motor equals fast.

american muscle sucks look at the 2.0L -3.0 L cars that dodge,ford ,corvette e,t,c made they are very slow.Their massive 8 litre engines still get smoked by supras running on less than half the engine capacity.If we look at the V8 that toyota made the 3UZ-FE it is far more powerful than american muscle.
You have less than 2k RPM of actual usable power and the turbo lag is so bad from 3k to 5k RPM. I'd hate to see what the turbo lag is like below 3k rpm. Great you have a dyno queen on your hands. And the reason us American Muscle car guys don't put body kits on our cars is, because we like the way our car looks from the factory. If you don't like they way your car looks don't buy it and waste money on a stupid body kit.

Most muscle cars engine tend to be cheaper to make a certain amount of power because 1. they're usually much bigger. 2. they tend to be lower tech, tech is expensive, and 3. they're been around longer and there is more of an established market for parts.
You can make a 4 cly or 6 cly just as fast as a V8 but it'll probably cost more.

@HEMIH3AD I think it's a pretty big stretch to call a pro mod a muscle car. A muscle car is basically a just a mid sized street car with a large, powerful engine. Like a Chevelle, Charger, 442, or something. A pro mod is a purpose build, fire-breathing racing machine. Some of them may have a shell that resembles a muscle car but that's about it.

Now it is powered by an American engine, a rather large nitro powered, solid block, twin turbo 4 cylinder, but it does run 5's with 4000HP. And yes, the 8000HP V8's are faster, again, just letting you know not everything with 4 cylinders is slow.
@HEMIH3AD case reopened, the supra STOCK engine can withstand this power, if you want 5000+ hp in a muscle car you have to do an entire drivetrain/engine swap. yes, muscle cars are fucking quick, but are NOT the fastest accelerating car in the world. if you want to take stock acceleration, nissan skyline r34 (same engine as a supra btw) would smoke most stock muscle cars of it's time. the new r35 SMASHED a shelby gt500 with the right driver in both.

Also considering that the Local Police department employ a Corvette Z06, Porsche 911, 3 Mustangs, and numerous Hemi Chargers, It's impossible to get away from the cops around here unless your car can do at least 190.

@Stihlpony you make a very good point big motor big turbo equals fast car but building a big motor car is easier cause you see guys do it all the time and have companies that build motors like that for customers all the time but have a 3 liter inline 6 that one is still street-able, making anywhere 400-1600hp and to the untrained eye looks stock or maybe slightly modded, and it's more expansive because there is no manual to say all you need are these parts with this motor equals fast.

You have less than 2k RPM of actual usable power and the turbo lag is so bad from 3k to 5k RPM. I'd hate to see what the turbo lag is like below 3k rpm. Great you have a dyno queen on your hands. And the reason us American Muscle car guys don't put body kits on our cars is, because we like the way our car looks from the factory. At that kind of power, it just becomes ridiculous. If you can't even put it down on the ground, why have it? In the video you show the car making skid marks at 80mph with mt slicks, that's just way too much power. I'm not disrespecting the car in the video, cause its a fast car. Most muscle cars engine tend to be cheaper to make a certain amount of power because 1. they're usually much bigger. 2. they tend to be lower tech, tech is expensive, and 3. they're been around longer and there is more of an established market for parts.
You can make a 4 cly or 6 cly just as fast as a V8 but it'll probably cost more.

@HEMIH3AD I think it's a pretty big stretch to call a pro mod a muscle car. A muscle car is basically a just a mid sized street car with a large, powerful engine. Like a Chevelle, Charger, 442, or something. A pro mod is a purpose build, fire-breathing racing machine. Some of them may have a shell that resembles a muscle car but that's about it.

@HEMIH3AD Just fyi, I do believe there are a few 6 second imports out there. I know you said 5 seconds I'm just letting you know. The fastest 4 cylinder that I am aware of is the Integra funny car. Now it is powered by an American engine, a rather large nitro powered, solid block, twin turbo 4 cylinder, but it does run 5's with 4000HP. And yes, the 8000HP V8's are faster, again, just letting you know not everything with 4 cylinders is slow.

@HEMIH3AD case reopened, the supra STOCK engine can withstand this power, if you want 5000+ hp in a muscle car you have to do an entire drivetrain/engine swap. yes, muscle cars are fucking quick, but are NOT the fastest accelerating car in the world. if you want to take stock acceleration, nissan skyline r34 (same engine as a supra btw) would smoke most stock muscle cars of it's time. the new r35 SMASHED a shelby gt500 with the right driver in both.

An 8.4l viper cant even beat this? Sorry to burst your bubble but an 8.4l V10 is capable of well over 1900bhp, and with all that displacement, the viper be getting close to double your torque. I'm a muscle car guy, but I don't see the Supra as rice at all. That's thing is making some very good numbers. They sound amazing too. Rice is someone with a 92 Civic and a b16 buys a cheap OBX exhaust, no tune and they think they're fast and trying to race heavily modded cars then proceed to make excuses when they lose. there is no doubt that this supra is a strait bad ass monster...but dont' go talking shit with 1,400 hp...cause there are plenty of 1,800+ hp muscle cars out there that are streetable...and would be your worse nighmare if you ran into them...it amazes me that they made 1,400 hp with a 6 cyl...but the simple facts are if you take off that turbo..then it would'nt have 1200+ HP potential like a naturally aspirated big block chevy engine built to hell has..top fuel dragsters make 7,000hp.remeber

@samgoose if you can't keep your car under control it's your fault, claiming that it's the car's fault is just an immature way of hiding the fact that you can't drive. I've driven import and muscle cars and imports are just frustrating, My 42 Year old AMC Javelin can hold a turn better than most imports and it uses stock suspension. Only reason it hadn't been running right was because i found a rag in the gas tank for some reason. 42 years old with the original engine 324K miles

Rice are tricked out imports, don't use it if u don't know what it means, basically it's a car that is slow AF and has a bunch of sh!t that is worthless (bodykiits, spoiler, SPINNERS, etc.) if it is like this supra, a spoiler and body kit look alright. RICE literally means: Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement.

@ghettokid2k9 R35s are ridiculously expensive to maintain and comparing a borderline super car to a muscle car isn't an even comparison.
1up: Corvette ZR-1 will embarrass an R35 any day and the long range cost will be less.
Lexus LFA is no faster than a Fererri 599 but, cost 3 times more so i'll take the sexy little red Fererri all day long over the LFA

@ghettokid2k9 Challenger looks good but, it's heavy as hell, really i've always been a ford boy and i think Ford is far more advanced because they can get 400 hp from a small block while GM and Chrysler have to use big blocks.
I think the only car i ever wetted myself over was the GT350's exhaust note.

@MaxJav9669 all im asking muscle boys to do is just be realistic man. the cobra jet would drive through a house but it still is extreamlly fast. drag race? yeah it maybe exciing to watch at a show but not alot of people like that kinda stuff. they wanna see nice cars, tight drifts, neon lights, loud music, police chases and more you know what im sayin? what kids or teens in the US or in the UK wudnt want that but that only happens if you live in areas that have that kinda stuff.

@ghettokid2k9 Nope, I got Barber Motorsports park on the other side of Bham, and a couple of my friends do short track oval racing. we also do Auto Cross but, there's a very small amount of Imports that can hang with the Muscle cars that go through that. Also considering that the Local Police department employ a Corvette Z06, Porsche 911, 3 Mustangs, and numerous Hemi Chargers, It's impossible to get away from the cops around here unless your car can do at least 190.

@MaxJav9669 im from London and the police here drive mostly BMW's 5 series, 1 seires and they drive cars like, subaru impreza,vauxhall's n shit like that. there crappy cars but damn them police are hard to shake of in england coz the roads aint as big as is it in america. the shows only go down in areas which are proper secluded but coz of the drug dealing and arms dealers police are always searching us for safety n shit. the tracks are pretty far from east london but we do it anywhere n anytime

@ghettokid2k9 Birmingham as in Alabama as in the U.S. My house is literally on the side of a mountain that's at the very tip of the Appalachian Mountains, muscle cars are still king around here because they have to torque to still be consistent running up the side of these mountains. I'm going to school this fall to train to be a Ford technician my friend who's already up at NASCAR Tech. was going home one night and Kyle Busch pulled up next to him in his LFA.
