  • I am 100% lesbian, but John sometimes makes me want to be a gay male. Darn, he's one fine man!

  • I have no problem w/ Gore Vidal or Peter Thiel for being gay as is true w/ most westerners (except for many blacks). We have accepted your right to do your thing in your homes in ur bars, etc. That should be enough. But apparently tolerance isnt enough. Gay rights now apparently means also "u endorsing not only my lifestyle but the redefinition of marriage". And if u don't agree ur an evil bigot. Such tactics create a anger in me that gayness itself never provoked. im anti-proffesional gays.

  • he is so handsome ....total perfection..looks and personality and extremely talented. Kirk..Montreal, Canada

  • Wow... Pete's story made me cry :'(

  • @PieOfEpicness I'm with you hun, disgusting...no-one should have to be going through this EVER!!! makes me so upset that any one has to face anything like that EVER

  • It's obvious that you're born gay. People only say it's a choice so they have a reason to hate gays and lesbians. Like: "Oh, he chose to be gay so it's his fault! Now I can hate him!"

  • I've been obsessing over Barrowman this whole week (would have been longer, but I've only just discovered him, somehow...) Anyway, I managed to forget he was Scottish as well, lol, so when it cut to his family and him talking, I too was like, "Wait, what? Pause. Rewind. Oh, yeah!" lol, very sexy!

  • "John is gay."

    *gasp* WHAT?

    ;)

  • im gay, always have been

daleks r gay too but they r insecure about it so they kill people

  • @MamaMario13 And the Timelords are their greatest enemy 'cause they're all straight?

  • I'm from Africa wasn't exposed to the ga lifestyle, didn't know anything about it till I turned 13 but when I hit puberty at 12 I was attracted to other boys. I know I must have been born this way because I have a brother and we were brought up the same way and yet he's straight a man whore sleeping with girl after girl.

  • @westlifeandmammamia John is scottish went to live in America when he was a kid and returned to the Uk as an adult.

  • Again,we cant conclude that they were 'barbaric' on the strength of the adverse affects drugs had on one volunteer but again, it wasnt compulsory

  • @westlifeandmammamia That guy VOLUNTEERED for that research and gave a negatively bitter & biased account of it which didnt refelect it's intentions, integrity or effectiveness on other participants ; he seemed to have a chip on his shoulder about being Gay and being 'victimised'.

  • Me and all my siblings are gay, which leads me to believe there may be a genetic component

  • That is sick and twisted and wrong! Who would do that to somebody!? I cried!

  • I can't find 2/6. I really want to watch it.

  • that one person who disliked this video is a cyberman!!!

  • I was getting a little teary when the man was talking about getting "cured". That's horrible what he's been through!

  • oh my goodness. was that john barrowman singing "i am what i am" at the start? that was wild! :) love that song...

  • @101cats101 yeah, there's a video of him singing the entire song on here somewhere

  • @westlifeandmammamia i though john barrowman was american lol, i dunno

  • I personally think a male's gayness can often be ascertained, but I don't make a decision until having heard them talk for a bit. From body language only, I wouldn't call that.

  • John is so hot.

  • straight asian boy is cute, hes my type :D

  • I'd really love to hear that sometime. I hear it's a sight/sound to behold.

  • Lastly the truth is that sexuality is an infinitely more complex & varied phenomenon that this glib 'tabloid' type nonsense provides us with.Sexuality exists on a continuum ; often shifts back & forth in quantity & ratio ; some people are 80/20% some 65/35% etc.etc.etc. & even THAT can change ; some folk feel theyre gay since they can remember & some say they felt it first in their 20s, 30s, even later.Granted many people feel COMLETELY straight or COMPLETELY gay & NEVER change so bla bla bla

  • @kenfig Yes how true. To me the really important issue is not whether sexuality changes or not, or whether a person is born this way or that, but that we have this group of people trying to dictate what sexuality should be. Religionists and others saying anythng other than 100% hetero is perverted or sinful or "wrong," and people on both sides saying we should all fit into neat little categories. To please who?

  • @kenfig What you say is totally true, however, it's important to realise that that is a very advanced view of sexuality. Personally, I agree with you, but for the gay community at large to have a coherent defence against all those who would like to attack them, it's completely essential for supporters to reinforce the idea that sexuality is non-choice and and non-negotiable. If this then bleeds over into a misconception that sexuality is strictly defined and immutable, shame, but it's progress.

  • @thisidlethought Well i respect that but i dont agree with you because 1 though it may be 'advanced' it's none the less relevant, and it's important. 2 For the 'community' to have THAT as a 'defence' is living in denial about something that is far more varied and flexible and so not true for everyone.Futhermore, the 'community' as you call them will BE made up of the varied permutations of ratio so some will be caliing themselves 'GAY' when theyre only part etc. Surely that may increase attacks

  • @kenfig Sexuality can slide on a scale. However, no one CHOOSES when and where it can slide. This is the main relevant point society fails to understand

  • @EffLabels Well, that point is not relevant to the one's i made for this. Mine concerned the fact that John's 'conclusions' were based on a combination of inconclusive research,self-fulfilling prophecy of what he hoped to find, and an interview with a bitter and neurotic person who volunteered for research and then complained about being 'mistreated', who then implied the psychiatrist was Gay and was a hypocrite, when he had no proof of that other than he saw him in a club frequented by Gay people

  • @kenfig The shrink probably was gay, and the man voulentered out of desperation Gay people were made to believe they were ill and had a disease. Some thought by going through barbaric forms of therapy, it would rid them of their seuxality.

  • @EffLabels But you cant just jump to those conclusions without substantiating them ; if one said "only gays go to gay clubs", they would be indignant about THAT,being inclined to say that straight people go too, which i guess they do occasionally, with friends etc. but you or that guy are'nt prepared to entertain that scenario for the shrink because you both want to malign him as hypocritical without proof. Just possibly he was attending linked to people he knew for research.

  • @kenfig Ofcourse straight people go to gay clubs,(although VERY rarley do straight men go to gay-male clubs) I just find it a little odd that a supposed shrink who is trying to rid people of their homosexuality would pick a gay club as a source of entertainment

  • @EffLabels But YOU feeling 'odd' (or ME for that matter) about anything or everything has NOTHING to do with anything really does it ? ; if everyone or their conduct was judged in a court of law based on how 'odd' a bunch of seperate people's feelings were about those things,we would have an infinitely more complicated system than we have now; again your assertion jumps to specific conclusions to suit your own superficial expectation ;unless you know ENOUGH and have enough evidence why bother ?

  • @kenfig Okay, it's not subjective, it more logic-based. What is a anti-homosexual shrink doing in a gay club?

  • @EffLabels Well, i cant tell you can i ? ; the glib & biased superficiality of that account was anecdotal rather than empirical. Also you've arrived at another unfounded conlusion which is chain reaction to the former, namely that the 'shrink' was 'anti-homosexual' ; you see ?,all of it is unsound as any kind of 'evidence' about anything

  • @kenfig Okay, it's not subjective, it more logic-based. What is a anti-homosexual shrink doing in a gay club?

  • @kenfig

That's why it's called "The Making Of Me" and not "The Making of Everyone" ;)

It's about John and his sexuality.

  • whats that to do with my comments ? ; John is generalising not me AND twisting glib and shallow findings to suit his own beliefs on the issue

  • "Hi This Is John Barrowman, I understand I might be able to take a test" -Hears Erotic Photos, Cracks up laughing-

    "Am I embarrasing you?"

  • aww 'you guys are buttheads" :D haha love himmmm

  • so funny, test show: you are straight. lol;

  • He speaks with an american accent normally, because he moved there when he was young and when he's with his family he speaks in a scottish accent.

  • Much like when I speak to my relatives in Oklahoma for 5 minutes on the phone I sound as though I never left.

I love hearing him with the Scottish accent.

  • i sowish this had been amde when i was in school. would've cleared a hell of a lot of things up. becuase the crap we got wasn't near as interesting as this

  • That's horrible, how could they want to "cure" gay people?! This is stupid, revolting and disgusting. How can anybody decide who adult people are supposed to love or not! Some will say the purpose of life is to perpetuate by reproducting, but that's only listening to our instincts. We're supposed to be evolved animals and listen to our brains.

  • This is actually interesting!

  • No tests necessary. Born gay. Me and my brother are completely different to the extent that I am gay thru and thru and he's straight thru and thru. We were raised by the same parents. Nurture? Pleeeeease...

  • @trent8002003 Not necessarily true my friend ; while i agree that there are some instances which will be genetic, there are as many different reasons for sexuality as there are different ratio permutations of sexuality. I actually have spoken to people who say they never ever had any Gay feelings at all, and had only strong Heterosexual desires which they regularly acted upon, and though they didnt discriminate, felt revulsion at the thought of Homosexuality but gradually changed much later on

  • @kenfig Fail to get your point. People with no gay feelings? That's because they were born heterosexual. Genetic. Revulsion at the thought of homosexuality? Of course homosexuality felt wrong to them cos they were straight. Same way as heterosexuality felt wrong to me. As for revulsion, very often that was society's conditioning and nature's mind trick as we are wired to be spooked by things and people that are different to us. Your examples are all wrong if you want to argue agst genes.

  • @trent8002003 Why dont you ? its clear : i dont need any explanation of WHY folk get 'spooked' but as YOU said the revulsion derives from it being unnatural to OUR feelings, whatever they are. However my point is that SOME people have said they felt heterosexual attraction exclusively with no hint of same sex until MUCH later in life when they felt that 'hint' which then became stronger. How can these people be born gay ?; what about the time when their feelings were strong but exclusively straight

  • @kenfig You believe everything people say? First, *no hint of same sex attraction* could well be a result of true sexual feelings being suppressed by society's oppression. Second, some people lie to others and themselves that they inherently straight. It is only exceptional circumstances that turn them temporarlily gay That's how much shame and guilt society forces down the throat of gay people. Lesson for you : 90% of what people say is half truths and lies. Don't be so gullible.

  • @trent8002003 Well, i could say EXACTLY the same to YOU,although your view is more conjecture than mine because at least one person has told me that and ive read about far more instances of the same to merely dismiss it unduly ;people would be very cynical to go around reluctant to believe people or trust their integrity to suit someone's opposing view; what makes YOURS so definitive and authoritative ?? You still expect me to believe the gay 'guineapig' though.I feel patronised by your 'lesson'

  • This should be required viewing in high school.

  • he should do an interview with graham norton and bring scott! now that would be awesome!

  • i wish i was a gay man.... sigh

  • his voice changes when his scottish accent is used...and i mean i know that is how it works. what i mean is...not just the accent but the whole voice! i've only ever heard him slip into the accent a few times. i wonder if he an david tennant ever just scottish the accents up? ok weird comment...sorry :P
