Psalm 93:1. "The Lord reigneth," or Jehovah reigns. Whatever opposition may arise, his throne is unmoved; he has reigned, does reign, and will reign for ever The Bible is scientificly acurate
@jeffsemore NIV- 1 The LORD reigns, he is robed in majesty; the LORD is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure.
2 Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity.
I never dreamed I would finally get to call out bullshit! To someone quoting the bible. This passage says nothing about heaven moving or not. It's about Earth An all knowing god could get the way the universe works right in his own special book.
@jeffsemore "The Bible is scientificly acurate" this vid kinda just disproved that :) but ok, gimme your best shot. You find something that is scientificly accurate in the bible and ill find something that is scientificly inaccurate in the bible and we will se who crosses the finishline first :P
@Netwriter No, no. I will admit that I am not certain as to whether or not that was the literal belief, but either way is fine. My comment is not the best, after re-reading it. Perhaps a more appropriate response would have been that most Christians do not hold the Bible as being scientifically accurate, especially in cases such as these (if this was the literal view), and accuracy in these cases is not needed. To explain why, I'd need more space to write. But there you are!
This is being taken out of context. Clearly, the people of this time had no notion of the earth's axis and did not understand its position in space or even how it worked. Both verses are actually from poems/songs of worship to God, and their purpose was to glorify God and his creation and the world he has made. Interpreting it so literally is folly, especially because they are poems, which often employ literary devices.
@Mikeykickdeball Until the last couple hundred years the interpretation I take on these verses is the same one the church held. Any interpretation other than a literal one, held for centuries, by the church, is based on science not the reading of the verses.
@Mikeykickdeball So you are trying to write off the Psalms because they are poetry? Okay. What about 1 Samuel 2:8? "For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them". Does the earth rest on pillars?
the bible & the like books are simply working best when it comes to astronomy. If taken as literal, it simply doesn't work. Not only are thier lies but criminal works.
Cont...Chronos is the son of Uranos, who is ruled by the Water-bearer Aquarius. Jesus says to follow the man with the pitcher of water into the house...the house of astrology. The ancient ruler of Aquarius was Saturn, but now is Uranus. The ruler of Saturn is Capricorn the goat, with the goat being depicted as Satan. There is a 6 sided HEX-agram on top of Saturn, just as there is a 6 sided HEX-agram within the Star of David. Je-witch, He-Brew, Coven-ant, and Jeru-Salem. It's a programmed curse.
The Bible is a computer PROGRAM. The word "lie" is contained within the word Bible, as in Black Book of the Lie. Moses was a murderer, liar, theif, and blood sacrificer, who said to keep the virgins alive for "themselves," after killing everyone else, (Nu 31:18). The dead giveaway to what is most important, is Gold's location was given in Gen 2, before Eve was created. Also, the last word of the OT is the word "curse." The Bible is about Saturn worship of EL, who is Saturn/Chronos. Cont....
Science is responsible for all the life changing inventions, medicines and all the things that improve our lives from what it was two thousand years ago.
Religion is responsible for the fact that we didn't have them a thousand years earlier.
If religion had it's way, we would be back in the Bronze Age.
Listen I'm a Christian and I actually had noticed that this is a lie from you. You are making this up or someone from your religion gave you a fake bible and you like a dumbo just posted itwhithout even respecting two billion people so please don't be racist
Christians are not a race and the bible actually says that it also says there is a dome over it. When you actually read the bible other than the verses your preacher tells you to you may become aware of how inaccurate and immoral it actually is
Ya that's wut I thought coward. Delete all my posts that make sense, that just goes to prove I have a valid point. U know what? I did pray for you...that u would never repent... Ya I want to see you burn in hell forever, I want to watch u melt away in a lake of fire and spit in your face u deceiver. Burn baby burn

@G6Krookz: "Ya I want to see you burn in hell forever, I want to watch u melt away in a lake of fire and spit in your face u deceiver." How very christian of you.
@G6Krookz Ahh, the loving christian shows his true colors. There was no talking snake, no global flood, no wooden boat built by an old man carrying around dinosaurs, no dead guy coming back to life, no flying unicorns, no woman turning into a pillar of salt, no talking bush, no heaven and no hell. Just billions of idiots wasting their lives taking mythology way too seriously.
@G6Krookz IF it did turn out that much of Christian belief is true except that there is no eternal torture, I know many Christians will be very disappointed & even very sad. They would have to be deceived about it in order to be happy. & enjoy heaven.
Ohhh myyyy..u are just as uneducated and gullible as everyone else who tries to slander the LIVING WORD of GOD.. Ur all like little babies who do nothing on their own accord but only what other babies do. Anyway..how many of your lies do I have to hear until I kno u are completely stupid?......1....... Yes the earth does move...granted....BUT, the bible is referring to it NOT being knocked off it's axis and floating away so that our earth freezes over...
@G6Krookz Please provide one believer, before science proved these verses wrong, who interpreted these verses as you are doing, that did not get burned at the stake or imprisoned. You are interpreting them based on science, not what they clearly say.
To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin.
@G6Krookz To affirm that the Sun ... is at the centre of the universe and only rotates on its axis without going from east to west, is a very dangerous attitude and one calculated not only to arouse all Scholastic philosophers and theologians but also to injure our holy faith by contradicting the Scriptures. Cardinal Bellarmine 1542-1621
Who will venture to place the authority of Copernicus above that of the Holy Spirit?
@G6Krookz Those who assert that the earth moves and turns ... are motivated by a spirit of bitterness, contradiction, and faultfinding; possessed by the devil, they aimed to pervert the order of nature.
-- John Calvin 1509-1564
Sacred scripture tells us that Joshua commanded the sun to stand still, and not the earth.
Incorrect poster: the Bible says the earth is established it shall not be moved [meaning here destroyed] not that it doesn't move [orbit or earthquakes]. If you fail to understand the language it doesn't make it a lie.
@masterkeep Sorry, but until you can show me any christian, who before science proved these scriptures false, who interpret these scriptures as you do. Doing so would have gotten them burned at the stake faster than you could say praise Jesus and it did. You interpret them using science, not the with the help of any holy ghost, and you must do so because science proved these verses, when read literally false.
@Netwriter Copernicus was a priest and he is the one that pushed the "scientific" idea of orbiting bodies that motivated Galileo. You are being selective in who you accept as "christian" and where science comes from instead of acknowledging history.
@masterkeep Nicolaus Copernicus (1473 - 1543) was a Polish astronomer and mathematician who was a proponent of the view of an Earth in daily motion about its axis and in yearly motion around a stationary sun. This theory profoundly altered later workers' view of the universe, but was rejected by the Catholic church. His theory was rejected by the church because it was counter to the bible's claim that the earth does not move.
@Netwriter The same Nicolaus Copernicus was first a priest, who looked to find order because God is a God of order. He has many times more writings on Theology than on mathematics and astronomy combined. The extent of his rejection was the restriction of his publications. [And that wasn't total since that is what inspired Galileo.] I will not deny that the Catholic church spurned discoveries they didn't understand, but that is hardly all of Christianity.
@masterkeep HIs writings on theology like all things religious made no contribution to the betterment of mankind. Gallileo was put under house arrest for following up on the findings of Copernicus.
Those who assert that the earth moves and turns ... are motivated by a spirit of bitterness, contradiction, and faultfinding; possessed by the devil, they aimed to pervert the order of nature. -- John Calvin 1509-1564
@Netwriter Copernicus' writings in all things moved men to look deeper for the truth. John Calvin also tried to rule as the sole authority in the city in which he lived. He did things in that regard that were outside of proper Scriptural understanding so it isn't surprising that his dogmatic statement about a difference in opinion is found in such a quote.
@masterkeep If it truly meant the Earth shall not be destroyed, then another lie is exposed: the destruction of Earth in the Last Days as outlined in Revelation.
@hyuugaamida Again, you fail to catch the context of the verse. In saying that the earth shall not be moved God is speaking to natural events - He is saying that you can trust Him to take care of you for He is taking care of the whole earth.
@masterkeep Really? So he was taking care of the whole Earth during the Japanese and Haitian earthquakes, Hurricane Katrina and the Southeast Asian tsunami? He was taking care of the Earth when he flooded it and killed every living organism but for those on the ark including every fish in the sea?
@hyuugaamida It was promised that flooding, earthquakes, wars, pestilence, etc. would increase as birthing pains as a sign of the return of the Christ. Let the record show that that is happening.
@masterkeep Yeah...accept those things AREN'T increasing. Thanks to the internet, we now hear about such events all across the world whereas in the past we would only know of wars and disasters affecting our own countries. They are no more frequent than they were 10,000 years ago.
@hyuugaamida Thanks to the internet we know there were more wars in the 20th century than the previous 1000 years. The events in Japan were the largest number of 7 plus earthquakes in recorded history. Pestilence spreads faster now than in any time in history. They are indeed more frequent. Easily verifiable.
@masterkeep Recorded history being the key word. And are you sure about the 20th C having more wars? 1,000 years prior includes the Dark Ages, a time of near-constant warfare, and it also includes the longest war ever fought. Pestilence spreads faster now in the days of pesticides and genetically altered crops? Are you kidding me?
@hyuugaamida Google "number of wars each century through history" and you will see a chart of the numbers at the top of the page which coincides with what I was taught at the University history class. The avian flu epidemic covered the entire globe in less than 6 months, faster than the plague covered just parts of Europe. The number of "epidemics" & "superbugs" has increased faster in the last 10 - 20 years than the previous 300 years combined. Our attempts have increased our problems.
@hyuugaamida I was attempting to answer objections to the Bible & Christianity. Prophecy that is verifiable is one proof of the veracity of Scripture.
@hyuugaamida 2000 years ago a prophecy made about ALL of the earth is made by a minor religion and it happening is "self fulfilling". Please elaborate because my understanding of self-fulfilling would require a majority to cause all the earth to follow to fulfill it. Also you start listing supposedly false things and I will find answers for them - I know of no authentic errors, & I have been studying it for years.
@hyuugaamida The word that is translated birds עוף‛ is better translated as "flying or winged creatures" since to get insects that fly you simply add שׁרץ [swarm] to make it flying insects. So the two classifications in Hebrew thought is warm blooded flying [winged] creatures and insect flying creatures. With this proper understanding it makes perfect sense to add bats to the list of prohibited "flying creatures".
@hyuugaamida Google translate is MODERN Hebrew, meaning that is NOW what they use the word for. Biblical Hebrew [Strongs & Brown Driver Briggs] lists flying creature as the primary translation.
@masterkeep Alright--there are other blatant lies in the Bible that won't be explained away by mistranslations, however. I suggest your arguments be a tad more sophisticated for these.
@hyuugaamida I don't know where you got the idea that the Bible taught that the sun & moon were pulled by chariots. I have looked at every verse referencing chariot / chariots and cannot find anything that could even begin to show that.
@hyuugaamida The Hebrew word that in the KJV is translated as whale [תּנּים / תּנּין] or [תּן] actually just means creature / great creature [shorter word is base and smaller creature, longer is intensive and bigger], & is specified only by whether or not it is on the land or in the sea by a specific statement to such. Again, no attempt to describe respiration type is given.
@hyuugaamida Again, Google translate is using MODERN Hebrew. Biblical Hebrew is as I previously posted [again both drawn from Strongs & Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew dictionaries].
@hyuugaamida The locations that have a [hare / rabbit] translated from [ ארנבת' / arnebeth ] have an uncertain animal and as many unkown animals have been in the KJV, a known animal is placed there to fill the spot rather than leave it as a transliterated name [arnebeth].
@masterkeep For the third time, Google says ארנבת' does in fact mean rabbit. So now that we've proven your working knowledge of Hebrew...umm...isn't working, care to amend your arguments or should I take it as a sign of defeat?
@hyuugaamida Your source is not Biblical Hebrew so it is incorrect - it is where the recreation of Hebrew was done FROM the KJV [poorly tranlstated] as Hebrew was brought back from being a dead language - it is after all the only language to "die" and come back.
@hyuugaamida The moon does reflect light so from the perspective of a person on earth it is a luminary. If God does exist and He created the moon to do its task then He is the cause of the tides even if only the "secondary" cause. Scripture describes the circle of the earth [as opposed to it being flat] in Job 26:10, Proverbs 8:27, & Isaiah 40:22.
@masterkeep As described in the Bible and believed by the people of the time, the Earth was shaped much like a snowglobe, flat with the sky stretched out over it like a tent. The sky is blue because there is water on the other side of the sky, and that's where rain comes from.
If God exists and he inspired the authors of the Bible, they would write the truth, not their ignorant ideas. They would write that the moon reflects the light of the sun and that the Earth is a sphere.
@hyuugaamida You could try to say the Bible teaches the world is a square since the winds come from the four corners - but a true understanding is that the winds are listed against the four directions of the compass. There are allegorical statements that describe the heavens as "like a tent" but that is not a full statement of their thought, but instead a way to compare to human things. Hebrew only has literal statements for comparison [e.g. teeth white like sheep].
@hyuugaamida Also the water cycle, rain coming down, flowing in rivers to the seas, then gathering back into the clouds, is first described in the Bible and the modern "father of the water cycle" saw it described there and postulated it for modern science. The same can be said for the currents.
@masterkeep There is no reason to continue this discussion. You've now begun to lie outright just like the fictional book you hold so dear. May your mind one day be graced by the values of the Enlightenment.
@hyuugaamida Job is thought to be one of the oldest books of the Bible yet in Job 36:27 & 28 we read, " For he draws up the drops of water; they distill his mist in rain, which the skies pour down and drop on mankind abundantly." This was 1600 years before the Roman engineer Marcus Vitruvius first wrote of it. Commodore Matthew Maury is credited with the discovery of the ocean currents yet it was read to him by his daughter from Psalms 8:8 "paths of the seas."
1b) (Niphal) to be shaken, be moved, be overthrown
Be overthrown is to be destroyed. Linguistic context to the whole verse and equivalent verses shows that is the best understanding there. I have solid reason for my argument.
Lastly, the Earth is firmly fixed to my knowledge.. to date, it has not moved from its current course (where God has placed it).. we are not flying out of control to nowhere in outer space. I am not aware of anything that has moved us from this? Can any of you tell me if we have been knocked off course.. I've read that some earthquakes have slowed us down my some number like a few nanoseconds but .. no that is not off course. Off course would be bad, death for all of us.
no.. i think you guys logic is .. well, not so logical. Like I said.. to my knowledge, we are still right where God has placed us.. and to my knowledge, nothing has moved us from that. You saying "no so" does not constitute a valid argument. By your logic, I can say what you guys are saying has been debunked on the comment section already.. lol... nice, but you need to try something stronger.
@conradpilapil Sorry, but until you can show me any christian, who before science proved these scriptures false, who interpret these scriptures as you do. Doing so would have gotten them burned at the stake faster than you could say praise Jesus and it did. You interpret them using science, not the with the help of any holy ghost, and you must do so because science proved these verses, when read literally false.
A lot of things that are self evident in the Bible got people burned at the stake. For example, the Catholic church (which if you study the Bible would easily fall into a cult) use to make people pay money to "forgive sins".. when the Bible clearly shows that only God can forgive sins.. there were tons of christians that burned by not "following" the catholic teachings but the Bible instead. Established religion is not Christianity.
@conradpilapil The catholic church are responsible for the bible. It is the tree that some 38K sects of the christian cult have spawned from. Always gives me a chuckle when christians attack the catholic church as a cult when so is their own superstition. Half the NT is pious forgeries by the fathers of the catholic church. You are in the grips of a cult, whether you realize it or not.
@Netwriter no my friend, but rather there were true Christians with-in the Catholic Church. Just like the south in slavery days used the Bible to justify it, but the true Christians helped the underground movement. Or any number of other things I could point out. "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn"
(1 Chronicles 16:30) Further more.. even if there were errors, (which I don't see from this particular passage) does not mean it is accepted.. you see this particular passage is a recording of Davids prayer..
Think of this.. David committed murder to gain the wife of the man he murdered.. does that mean the Bible then teaches murder is good? No.. it is a recording of what happened.. Please use intellectual integrity in arguing the validity of your questions.
Hello all. Just found this video. So, I've watched the video.. and this is lacking serious intellectual integrity. (1 chronicles 16:30) It does not mean that the earth does not move, around the sun, or spin, or have earthquakes, but that it will not be moved from its foundation that God has placed it on. God has hanged the earth on nothing (space) set on its course.. none of us will be able to move it from the foundation and course He has set.
well, this is another video in which u take these verses in your own words for your own purpose. these verses are just simply saying that the world is not going to be destroyed or "move" if u which and in most of the verses is just refering to his kingdom once is stablished in the entire universe or "world" if u which, and not talking about the rotation of the planet its self like u are saying. so how many lies does it takes for a video to be a lie?? 1
@elmensagero1 The earth will be destroyed when the sun turns into a red giant in a couple billion years. The world does move. NIce try but you failed.
@Netwriter I heard that there are atheists for Jesus could you name me one of them if you've ever seen one? (that wasn't a christian pretending to be atheist)
you defiantly don't know a thing about the bible. God won't be moved, the earth won't be moved ..here always never ending. Not only that the psalms were wrote by David Just because its said in the bible does not make it true. look at Jobs Friends they told him that he was being punished because he sinned ...not true...Job was a just and righteous man in the eyes of the lord, He was testing Job. so there are no lies in scripture just people who do not understand them .
@carlsmithey You don't know anything about science, but thanks for playing.
If you don't believe the bible contains any lies, then I have a mission of discovery to send you on. Using your bible, that does not have any untruths in it, please show me what it says about whether anyone has ever seen god. Hurry back.
All right aren't you smart you entirely misquote a scripture to prove a point that is totally a lie. Lets stick with the subject and the object of the verse, In Psalm 96 He is clearly talking about the stability of His Kingdom, but you are so wanting to prove a point that you become a bigger Liar.
@Mrpl778 How about I Chronicles 16:30 or Job 9:6 or Job 38:4? The bible also claims the earth is a flat circle, and is the center of the universe. What kingdom are you talking about? Your apology has been propped here several times over the past three years and like today, it fails miserably. A book supposed "the word of god" should not need folks like you to try to explain away errors and confusion.
@Netwriter Where does the bible say the Earth is Flat?? The bible is about the Coming KIngdome of God, what do you mean what KIngdom? The bible requires you to take you brain of the shelf and use it to reason. You say the Word of God is full of errors, I say your wrong bring your case to me and i will do my best to show you what the verse means, oft times you take a verse by itself and make a out of context point. The 3 verses above all show that God laid the Foundations and we cannot move
@Mrpl778 The bible says Jesus stood on the top of high mountain and could see from there all the kingdoms of the world. Where is this mountain in the middle east where the Inca Empire can be seen? This could only be done on a flat earth. Jesus said those who believe on him will be able to do all the works he did plus, John 14:12 A Lie. He said he would return with the angels of the lord in power before all those listening tasted death, A LIe. There are many more lies. I just used one.
@Netwriter This says that Yeshua stood on a high mountain and could see All the KIngdoms of the World, It shows he is timeless. Which mountiain is not important. And since He is eternal how do you know that one of his Disciples did not taste death. Can a man judge God, NO, yet you seem to want to say that you are smarter than He is, Enoch and Elijah never died yet, perhaps they were standing their when he said that. Who says that we are not doing the works he did. Open your mind.
@Mrpl778 No, it says Jesus was with Satan and could see all the kingdoms of the world from a high mountain. Is Satan timeless too? Face it dude, Jesus was a no show. A false prophet. Deuteronomy 18:22. Yes, a man can judge the god of the bible. His deeds are listed and they are anything but moral. Based on the actions of the bible god I am much more intelligent, rational and loving than the god of the bible. You are too. Jesus said those who believe on him will be able to do what he did.
@Netwriter if you are much more intelligent than God, create a world then, create life by your word, if you are much more loving, then why do you argue? God doesnt argue, he speaks and his words are fullfilled, yet i dont see you sir doing such great works. why do you quote the bible to prove your point if infact the bible is full of lies? you believe the bible to be full of lies than you sir can not use these lies to make your point. deut 18:22 talk about taking scripture out of context.
@TheRestoredTruth I am not omnipotent but much more intelligent. I don't see your god doing any great works, if you do please show us. I quote the bible to show that it is full of lies. Jesus said those who believe in him will be able to do the same and greater works than he did. LIE Jesus said he would return before all those standing there listening to him tasted death. LIE Jesus said he would DO ANYTHING asked in his name. LIE See how that works?
@Netwriter Did you ever truly believe? or were you one of the many that just do lip service, to believe is to also live in it, if you believed a doctor that said you were going to soon die, you would make arrangements, therefore if you believe in Christ then your life would follow suit, its not just a word sir, it’s a life and until you have given it your all you cannot sit here and claim these are lies, you see how that works?
@TheRestoredTruth Couldn't answer my questions, or respond to my points huh? Instead you prop the "no true scottsman" fallacy with a thunder mug load of sophistry. Please point me to just one of the 2b christians who can do the same and more than Jesus did. You mean you can't walk on water or raise the dead? You know that means you are not a believer in Jesus don't you? Run along sonny.
@Netwriter Oh, how i feel sorry for you, all puffed up with pride and arrogance, thinking that you know it all, it is very sad because one day soon you will meet your maker and you will tremble with fear and there is not a doubt in my mind,no not one! your arrogance and pride will not save your life, your so called knowledge which is no knowledge at all, cannot save you! take an account of all the people that have tried to reach you, for you will see them in the glory of Christ in the end!
@TheRestoredTruth It is not I who thinks he knows it all, it is folks who believe in talking snakes and magic fruit trees. The rest of your comment proves this. You claim to know what will happen one day soon, yet you have zero proof. It is nothing but an argumentum ad baculum, a fallacy, which proves what you are selling is a lie. The truth does not need threats to get folks to believe it. Only lies need such technics. Nice work there.
@Netwriter truth is not a threat but if it threatens your way of thinking or life then you are quick to deny it instead of being intelligent enough to consider it. you are the one sir, who is clearly threatened by the truth, I have no fears of your beliefs, I don’t dedicate a page to deny something that threatens me, rather to spread good news of Christ Jesus! I'll pray for you!!!
@TheRestoredTruth The problem is that your good news, comes with a threat that if I don't buy into it, I will be tortured for eternity. This shows that your good news is nothing but a lie and distant from the truth. I do fear your belief, as it is based on the superstition, the morality and bigotry, the justice and science of the bronze age. Its detrimental effects have plagued mankind for 1900 years. I will pray to Zeus that he awakens you from your delusion.
@Netwriter How does it show a lie? I’m confused? have you died and come back to prove that eternity in hell is a lie? what proof can you offer there sir? you demand such proof from others, where is yours? if the Gospel is a problem, it is with you sir, because of your pride and so then you are full of fear and rightly so, because you do know its truth, though you do not want to admit it, Pray to Jesus Christ, and watch the scales fall from your eyes!
@TheRestoredTruth Have you died and come back to prove that eternity in hell or heaven is the truth? What proof can you offer? I have made no positive claims, so the burden of proof is not with me. You claim there is a god, this god is the bible one, that there is a hell and if I don't believe all this stuff that you have no proof is real, that I will burn for ever in this supposed hell. I know that you think you have the truth, but so do islamists, buddhists, Hindu, Mormon etc...
@Netwriter You have made positive claims, that’s what this whole page is about, is it not? you claim lies, do you not? and then you talk of praying to zeus? what is that sir? who is zeus sir? is he some supposed god? what proof do you have? life is no accident, accidents are not pretty, neither are they organized, look around you at the beauty of creation, the heavens, the sun, moon and stars, the ocean, the mountains, the children, the signature of The Divine. still praying for you!
@TheRestoredTruth Zeus created everything, quit giving your phony god credit for what Zeus did. I have the same proof for these claims that you have for yours, none.
If you believe prayer works as Jesus promised you that it would John 14:13, than pray for a cure for childhood leukemia. I will watch the news to see if your religion and your god are real.
@TheRestoredTruth I have never even known a person with childhood leukemia. How silly to give a god who is supposed to be omnipotent and omniscient a pass for anything. This same god created satan and mankind knowing beforehand exactly how everything would turn out down to the smallest detail. He knew this before creation but went on with creation. Everything is the responsibility and fault of your god. Don't you have any critical thinking skills? Man's fault, Satan's fault???????? Wow!
@Netwriter Then why ask for a cure for it? cannot zeus perform such a task for you? talk about silly, bashing God because of, as you say no proof, yet turning to no god at all (zeus) in which you yourself claim no proof, doesn’t quite make sense at all now does it? critical thinking skills? does it take critical thinking skills to do what you have just done?????? wow! I thought you said that you were much more intelligent than God Himself??
@TheRestoredTruth I use Zeus to show you how silly you sound and how you have no more evidence for your god than I do for Zeus. Besides lacking critical thinking skills you don't recognize sarcasm either. You offered to pray for me so I asked you to pray for a cure for a very bad disease your god created.
Now answer my question about why you blame Satan and Man and give your omni god a free pass when all logic points to everything being his will and his fault. No more red herrings!!!
@Netwriter Answer to your question, being the creator of something entitles you to do as you please, no matter who likes it or not, it grants exclusive rights, if your creation must suffer a bit to become humbled,as to not rebel against authority as did lucifer, then so be it! should we throw a tantrum because we dont get our way? disobedience is in satans authority. Logic gets you nowhere and faith is not acquired by study, it is granted by God, ask for it! Foolish things confound the wise!
@TheRestoredTruth Another red herring. Your total lack of intellectual honesty is showing. Sorry there my little bible thumper, but your time here is over.
it all comes down to this... for the Christians here... The Bible is not meant for debate ok? If the atheists denied OUR God then they have the right to do so that's what free will is for just look at this video as a challenge to our faith if we're gonna yield who won right? To the Athiests I totally respect your decisions if you do not believe then don't. I mean cmon guys there are more problems in this world rather than RELIGEONS AND ITS DIFFERENCES! ITS LIKE COMPARING RACES!! DUH!!!
@alekz2006 If your bible is true, then it should withstand any scrutiny. The bible tells believers to study the bible, II Tim 2:15 and to answer every man who asks you, I Peter 3:15. Free will is impossible with an omni god and the bible denies that free will is give to man; Ephesians 1:3-5, 2:4-10 Romans 8:28-30, 9:10-19, Rev 13:8, II Tim 1:9. History shows all three abrahamic religion have been the problem for the last 3K yearsand still is today. All three still killing each other with zest
@Netwriter Ok then get a Strongs Concordance, because what is written always implies more than you vast intelligence can see. The truth of Scripture will become more and more open to see in the coming years, and a lot of it is time sensative, such as signs in the Sun. But i cannot convince you only the Holy Spirit can convince you that the Word of God is true. But if you choose to nitpick then i am sure Satan will be happy to help you find fault, instead of coming to the truth
@Mrpl778 What would convince me that the bible is true is if it was true. Tell me about the prophecy of the city of Tyre or the one about Egypt being void of life for 40 years, or the one Jesus said that have turned out to be blatantly false. Sorry but I don't believe in Satan, he is just one of the 4 gods of christianity and so far they have all proven to be just the invention of bronze and iron age goat herders. Your want that the bible is true, does not make it so, sorry.
are you serious? this is a joke right? even someone with the knowledge of a child can tell you that it is in reference to its place in orbit, that it is not moving about space, that it is held together firmly in its path, its not refering to its motion. This is nothing more than a distraction, do not argue with these Godless people, just keep building the wall as in Nehemiah.
@TheRestoredTruth Yes serious. Just a few hundred years ago saying what you just posted would have gotten you burned at the stake by christians. These verses were held to be literal until science proved them to be false. Your interpretation is based on science, not what is clearly written. Just one of many time where science is used to interpret the bible, not some holy ghost.
@ofreshartist2 Everything we see is here by natural processes until evidence shows otherwise. I don't know of any scientists who claims what is here is here by accident or miracle. I only hear that from folks who foolishly get their science from creationists and ID web sites and their world view from old books of mythology and superstition. It is only such folks who make the claim that everything came from nothing by the command of a magic being in the sky. Very childish in deed.
@Netwriter It is not my responsibility to defend the Bible and prove its legitimacy; it's apparent you've already read it and you chose to abandon it. When your time for judgement comes, it isn't I who is going to have to defend your position. Just wondering...if you term the Bible the book of lies, which book exactly is your book of truth (I can't wait to hear this one...)
@One24100kDash My time of judgement? What proof do you have of such an event? Threatening me with judgement day etc... is call an argumentum ad baculum, a debate fallacy which proves what you are selling is a lie. The truth does not require threats to get folks to believe it. Only a fool uses but a single book to find truth. I started with the bible but realized it is nothing but a book of mythology, superstition and fiction. My reading list since then is vast. How about yours?
@Netwriter Try opening up the book before you attack it with your shallow remarks. Try Romans 14:10-12 for starters "So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.'" 12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.
@One24100kDash I have read the bible cover to cover several times. I studied it as a believer for 40 years. I have no doubt I know your book better than you do. Quoting the bible to me is about as effective as me quoting the Koran to you. Until you can prove your book is the word of a god to quote it is worthless. Again I ask what proof do you have that there will be a judgement day or that your god is more than just your imaginary invisible friend? Prepare to meet Zeus, he loves you so much.
@One24100kDash I have the same proof of Zeus as you do for your four gods, which is none at all. Sounds pretty silly when I start talking about a god you don't believe in doesn't it? I sound like a little kid talking about Santa. You sound just as silly talking about your god, his eternal torture chamber, and the day of judgement. You have proved you believe based on fear and tried to pull that on me with your argumentum ad baculum. Just praise Zeus and believe before you end up in hell.
@Netwriter My belief comes from love. Any "fear" of God is purely reverential (like a child reveres their parents). My proof that the Bible is the Word of God? Answered prayers, my prosperity which in the natural isn't logical; the peace, joy, and comfort I experience even when outward circumstances aren't conducive to peace, joy, and comfort. I'm sorry you spent so many years as a disappointed Christian but it wasn't God's system that was faulty, it was yours. God ALWAYS does his part.
@One24100kDash No parent will send their child to be tortured for eternity. How you can love such an evil being as the bible god is beyond me. If prayer works as you claim and Jesus promised John 14:13 then pray for a cure for childhood leukemia. No qualifications, it is a promise. The bible claims god does not want me to perish and he is omnipotent. If these things the bible claims are true then it is his responsibility to give me what i need to believe. So far he has failed miserably.
@Netwriter there is one area that God willingly stripped Himself of all power-He gave you and I the right to choose (freewill). When He gave Adam and Eve the right to choose between eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, He took away his right AND responsibility to dictate our choices. YOUR BELIEF IN GOD IS NOT HIS RESPONSIBILITY; it's yours. I don't know what happened to you that caused you to stray away from your faith but you will be held accountable for it nevertheless.
@One24100kDash Chapter and verse where god gave up his omnipotence please. Here are verses where we are told that free will does not exist: Ephesians 1:3-5 Ephesians 2:4-10 Romans 8:28-30, Romans 9:10-15, Romans 9:16-19, Rev 13:8, II Timothy 1:9.
The bible says god does not wish any to perish. He knows what I need to believe. I need the same proof he gave moses, the disciples, Paul, Abraham and Noah. If he is unchanging and not a respecter of persons as the bible claims where's the proof?
@Netwriter You will be judged much more so because you are doing everything you can to corrupt the faith of others.God doesn't want anyone to spend an eternity tortured in hell, but it is by our choices that we will be judged.God sent his only son, Jesus, to suffer and die on the cross to save you and other sinners (including myself). All you have to do is believe that to be true and you won't go to hell even if you dn't live a perfect life. I don't understand how-after 40 yrs-you don't get it.
@One24100kDash Why can't you answer my questions? All you can do is make unsupported assertions and spew sophistry. If god doesn't want anyone to spend eternity in hell then no one will. He is omnipotent isn't he? Why did he create such a place. He is evil to the core, just like the bronze age folks who invented him. Free will is impossible with an omni god, and is also unscriptural. Are you claiming that your god died? Really? I did get it finally after 40yr, the bible god is a phony.
@Netwriter Then follow up with Rev 10:11-15. My reading selection? The vastness of my reading selection is irrelevent in this discussion since this entire comment thread is discussing the "Book of Lies" so my question still stands: what then do you perceive as the book of truth? That, mr.intellectual, was a straw man fallacy btw...
@One24100kDash Again, only a fool relies on a single book for truth. If you needed surgery, would you want your doctor to read your bible or the latest medical book on the type of surgery you need? Oh, that's right if you get ill the bible tells you to have some folks from your church come over and oil you up and pray over you. Of course you only follow what the bible says when it is convenient or the bigotry and hatred in the bible matches your own hatred and bigotry.
If you know God, and read the bible, you will know that God and Jesus both spoke in parables. As this saying is!! The saying really means, that the Earth will always be!! It is sad that so many will be left here after the rapture to experience the worst horrors that will ever come to the earth. Have a good time! Or, believe in your Lord your God! Too bad that most on earth at the time of his second coming will have such hard hearts that nothing can penetrate them. Like talking to a brick wall!!
@fordlyfreak Still a lie, the earth will not always be. In a few billion years the sun will expand into a red giant and consume the earth. You need to believe in Zeus, your god, otherwise you are going to burn in hell for eternity. Satan has hardened your heart to reject Zeus. You are like talking to a brick wall. I can't prove any of this is true, but of course you are in the same boat with your superstition.
@ofreshartist2 The sun and the moon are natural things, not created by a god, but created by the cosmos via our solar system. The moon is not a light, but a planet we see clearly when it is illuminated by the sun. This is the real science, something unknown by the writers of the bible and their tribal god.
@ofreshartist2 Nice straw man. My dog is smart enough to notice the sun shines in the day and moon is in the sky at night. Those are some brilliant scientist who wrote the bible, huh? BTW, to clue you in, the sun is the light of the night also. The moon is not a light but a small planet that reflects the suns light. The bible writers didn't even know that simple scientific fact.
@ofreshartist2 Again, the only reason you see these verses not meaning what they clearly state literally is because science proved them wrong. Only then did folks quit being burned at the stake for claiming these verses meant something completely different than what they say literally. I gave up this old book a good ways back when I realized it is book of confusion and not the word nor work of any god. Your apology proves my point, not yours.
@ofreshartist2 I will give you Psalm 93 but not I Chronicles, unless you want to claim that the story of king david is to be taken as nothing more than the belch of a poem. The ongoing problem with even Psalm 93 is that until science proved that the earth was not the center of the universe and did not move, these verses were never claimed to be anything but literal. To say other wise got your killed by the christian church before you could say praise Jesus.
Whether you ‘believe’ in Gods law or not doesn’t matter. You will be judged in Gods court for you sins regardless. Without Jesus Christ you will receive no Grace from the Judge. You can deny your crimes to the judge till your eyes bleed. We all broke God’s Laws, Jesus paid our fine. If you will repent and trust in the Jesus, God will forgive your sins and dismiss your case. Simple
This guy who put up the video to attack the Bible don't even pass a simple comprehension english school exam, given his bad reasonings.
People thought the Bible is a garbabge because they don't understand.I have seen the Bible being regularly quoted throughout the many centuries,or since time memorial.
@frankielee77 Yeah dude, you are the paragon of reasoning. You are gifted by a ghost to understand the bible where us common trash just can't get it. Problem is you can't debunk the thesis of this video, just whine and stomp your feet.
@frankielee77 His comprehension is fine. He has chosen just ONE of an embarrassing number of verifiable untruths to be found in the Bible. Maybe it is you who is short on comprehension because not only does the earth move by spinning on it's axis and it orbits the Sun but it also moves within itself with massive earthquakes on the edges of the tectonic plates. If you will not accept any of the forementioned, perhaps you could tell us what you would consider a non moving earth to be.
Such an unintelligent piece of attacks against the Bible, and called the book a lie but offering only perspective of a warp mind.By saying the Bible is written by Bronze age writers, but our world saw the wisdom of Solomon, and the architectural description as written, marvel at its great wisdom. The richness of poetry and a great historical accounts with mind bogglings stories,so interesting and beautiful, only an idiot cannot appreciate.
@frankielee77 It is also a book full of blood and guts, bronze age morality and the claim to be the word of a god. It is an evil book to the core. I can appreciate that based on the history of believers of this book and what they have done based on this false divine authority. Only an idiot can not see this also.
Two words: plate tectonics.

Mikeykickdeball 2 weeks ago
@Mikeykickdeball Most? Link?
Netwriter 2 weeks ago
This is being taken out of context. Clearly, the people of this time had no notion of the earth's axis and did not understand its position in space or even how it worked. Both verses are actually from poems/songs of worship to God, and their purpose was to glorify God and his creation and the world he has made. Interpreting it so literally is folly, especially because they are poems, which often employ literary devices.
Mikeykickdeball 3 months ago
@Mikeykickdeball Until the last couple hundred years the interpretation I take on these verses is the same one the church held. Any interpretation other than a literal one, held for centuries, by the church, is based on science not the reading of the verses.
Netwriter 3 months ago
@Mikeykickdeball So you are trying to write off the Psalms because they are poetry? Okay. What about 1 Samuel 2:8? "For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them". Does the earth rest on pillars?

Cont....

Cardinal Bellarmine 1542-1621

@G6Krookz To affirm that the Sun ... is at the centre of the universe and only rotates on its axis without going from east to west, is a very dangerous attitude and one calculated not only to arouse all Scholastic philosophers and theologians but also to injure our holy faith by contradicting the Scriptures. Incorrect poster: the Bible says the earth is established it shall not be moved [meaning here destroyed] not that it doesn't move [orbit or earthquakes]. If you fail to understand the language it doesn't make it a lie.
masterkeep 9 months ago
@masterkeep Sorry, but until you can show me any christian, who before science proved these scriptures false, who interpret these scriptures as you do. Doing so would have gotten them burned at the stake faster than you could say praise Jesus and it did. You interpret them using science, not the with the help of any holy ghost, and you must do so because science proved these verses, when read literally false.
Netwriter 9 months ago
@Netwriter Copernicus was a priest and he is the one that pushed the "scientific" idea of orbiting bodies that motivated Galileo. You are being selective in who you accept as "christian" and where science comes from instead of acknowledging history.
masterkeep 9 months ago
@masterkeep Nicolaus Copernicus (1473 - 1543) was a Polish astronomer and mathematician who was a proponent of the view of an Earth in daily motion about its axis and in yearly motion around a stationary sun. This theory profoundly altered later workers' view of the universe, but was rejected by the Catholic church. His theory was rejected by the church because it was counter to the bible's claim that the earth does not move.
Netwriter 9 months ago
@Netwriter The same Nicolaus Copernicus was first a priest, who looked to find order because God is a God of order. He has many times more writings on Theology than on mathematics and astronomy combined. The extent of his rejection was the restriction of his publications. [And that wasn't total since that is what inspired Galileo.] I will not deny that the Catholic church spurned discoveries they didn't understand, but that is hardly all of Christianity.
masterkeep 9 months ago
@masterkeep HIs writings on theology like all things religious made no contribution to the betterment of mankind. Gallileo was put under house arrest for following up on the findings of Copernicus.
Those who assert that the earth moves and turns ... are motivated by a spirit of bitterness, contradiction, and faultfinding; possessed by the devil, they aimed to pervert the order of nature. -- John Calvin 1509-1564
Netwriter 8 months ago
@Netwriter Copernicus' writings in all things moved men to look deeper for the truth. John Calvin also tried to rule as the sole authority in the city in which he lived. He did things in that regard that were outside of proper Scriptural understanding so it isn't surprising that his dogmatic statement about a difference in opinion is found in such a quote.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep If it truly meant the Earth shall not be destroyed, then another lie is exposed: the destruction of Earth in the Last Days as outlined in Revelation.
hyuugaamida 9 months ago
@hyuugaamida Again, you fail to catch the context of the verse. In saying that the earth shall not be moved God is speaking to natural events - He is saying that you can trust Him to take care of you for He is taking care of the whole earth.
masterkeep 9 months ago
@masterkeep Really? So he was taking care of the whole Earth during the Japanese and Haitian earthquakes, Hurricane Katrina and the Southeast Asian tsunami? He was taking care of the Earth when he flooded it and killed every living organism but for those on the ark including every fish in the sea?
hyuugaamida 9 months ago
@hyuugaamida It was promised that flooding, earthquakes, wars, pestilence, etc. would increase as birthing pains as a sign of the return of the Christ. Let the record show that that is happening.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep Yeah...accept those things AREN'T increasing. Thanks to the internet, we now hear about such events all across the world whereas in the past we would only know of wars and disasters affecting our own countries. They are no more frequent than they were 10,000 years ago.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida Thanks to the internet we know there were more wars in the 20th century than the previous 1000 years. The events in Japan were the largest number of 7 plus earthquakes in recorded history. Pestilence spreads faster now than in any time in history. They are indeed more frequent. Easily verifiable.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep Recorded history being the key word. And are you sure about the 20th C having more wars? 1,000 years prior includes the Dark Ages, a time of near-constant warfare, and it also includes the longest war ever fought. Pestilence spreads faster now in the days of pesticides and genetically altered crops? Are you kidding me?
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida Google "number of wars each century through history" and you will see a chart of the numbers at the top of the page which coincides with what I was taught at the University history class. The avian flu epidemic covered the entire globe in less than 6 months, faster than the plague covered just parts of Europe. The number of "epidemics" & "superbugs" has increased faster in the last 10 - 20 years than the previous 300 years combined. Our attempts have increased our problems.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep And this proves your religion is correct how, exactly? That IS the main point you're trying to prove in a roundabout way, isn't it?
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida I was attempting to answer objections to the Bible & Christianity. Prophecy that is verifiable is one proof of the veracity of Scripture.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep Not when it's a self-fulfilling prophecy, and definitely not when so many other things in the Bible are demonstrably false.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida 2000 years ago a prophecy made about ALL of the earth is made by a minor religion and it happening is "self fulfilling". Please elaborate because my understanding of self-fulfilling would require a majority to cause all the earth to follow to fulfill it. Also you start listing supposedly false things and I will find answers for them - I know of no authentic errors, & I have been studying it for years.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep Just because a "prophecy" seemingly lines up with current events doesn't mean the "prophet" successfully predicted the future.
As for Biblical falsehoods:
Bats are birds, whales are fish and rabbits chew cud.
The Earth is flat.
The sun and moon revolve around the Earth, pulled by chariots, and that the moon is luminous.
God causes the tides when in fact they are an effect of the moon's gravity.
The entire flood story is physically impossible.
And many, many, many more.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida The word that is translated birds עוף‛ is better translated as "flying or winged creatures" since to get insects that fly you simply add שׁרץ [swarm] to make it flying insects. So the two classifications in Hebrew thought is warm blooded flying [winged] creatures and insect flying creatures. With this proper understanding it makes perfect sense to add bats to the list of prohibited "flying creatures".
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep Yeah....Google Translate says it means bird, poultry or chicken.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida Google translate is MODERN Hebrew, meaning that is NOW what they use the word for. Biblical Hebrew [Strongs & Brown Driver Briggs] lists flying creature as the primary translation.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep Alright--there are other blatant lies in the Bible that won't be explained away by mistranslations, however. I suggest your arguments be a tad more sophisticated for these.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida I don't know where you got the idea that the Bible taught that the sun & moon were pulled by chariots. I have looked at every verse referencing chariot / chariots and cannot find anything that could even begin to show that.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida The Hebrew word that in the KJV is translated as whale [תּנּים / תּנּין] or [תּן] actually just means creature / great creature [shorter word is base and smaller creature, longer is intensive and bigger], & is specified only by whether or not it is on the land or in the sea by a specific statement to such. Again, no attempt to describe respiration type is given.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep Again, Google says תּנּין means crocodile, תּנּים means jackals and תּן means let.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida Again, Google translate is using MODERN Hebrew. Biblical Hebrew is as I previously posted [again both drawn from Strongs & Brown Driver Briggs Hebrew dictionaries].
masterkeep 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida The locations that have a [hare / rabbit] translated from [ ארנבת' / arnebeth ] have an uncertain animal and as many unkown animals have been in the KJV, a known animal is placed there to fill the spot rather than leave it as a transliterated name [arnebeth].
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep For the third time, Google says ארנבת' does in fact mean rabbit. So now that we've proven your working knowledge of Hebrew...umm...isn't working, care to amend your arguments or should I take it as a sign of defeat?
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida Your source is not Biblical Hebrew so it is incorrect - it is where the recreation of Hebrew was done FROM the KJV [poorly tranlstated] as Hebrew was brought back from being a dead language - it is after all the only language to "die" and come back.
masterkeep 8 months ago

They would write that the moon reflects the light of the sun and that the Earth is a sphere.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida You could try to say the Bible teaches the world is a square since the winds come from the four corners - but a true understanding is that the winds are listed against the four directions of the compass. There are allegorical statements that describe the heavens as "like a tent" but that is not a full statement of their thought, but instead a way to compare to human things. Hebrew only has literal statements for comparison [e.g. teeth white like sheep].
masterkeep 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida Also the water cycle, rain coming down, flowing in rivers to the seas, then gathering back into the clouds, is first described in the Bible and the modern "father of the water cycle" saw it described there and postulated it for modern science. The same can be said for the currents.
masterkeep 8 months ago
@masterkeep There is no reason to continue this discussion. You've now begun to lie outright just like the fictional book you hold so dear. May your mind one day be graced by the values of the Enlightenment.
hyuugaamida 8 months ago
@hyuugaamida Job is thought to be one of the oldest books of the Bible yet in Job 36:27 & 28 we read, " For he draws up the drops of water; they distill his mist in rain, which the skies pour down and drop on mankind abundantly." This was 1600 years before the Roman engineer Marcus Vitruvius first wrote of it. Commodore Matthew Maury is credited with the discovery of the ocean currents yet it was read to him by his daughter from Psalms 8:8 "paths of the seas."

@masterkeep "moved" = "destroyed"? If you can convince yourself that this makes any sense, you're too delusional to debate.

BDB Definition:
1) to totter, shake, slip
1a) (Qal) to totter, shake, slip
1b) (Niphal) to be shaken, be moved, be overthrown
Be overthrown is to be destroyed. Linguistic context to the whole verse and equivalent verses shows that is the best understanding there. I have solid reason for my argument.
masterkeep 8 months ago
Lastly, the Earth is firmly fixed to my knowledge.. to date, it has not moved from its current course (where God has placed it).. we are not flying out of control to nowhere in outer space. I am not aware of anything that has moved us from this? Can any of you tell me if we have been knocked off course.. I've read that some earthquakes have slowed us down my some number like a few nanoseconds but .. no that is not off course. Off course would be bad, death for all of us.

@Netwriter
no.. i think you guys logic is .. well, not so logical. Like I said.. to my knowledge, we are still right where God has placed us.. and to my knowledge, nothing has moved us from that. You saying "no so" does not constitute a valid argument. By your logic, I can say what you guys are saying has been debunked on the comment section already.. lol... nice, but you need to try something stronger.
conradpilapil 9 months ago
@conradpilapil Sorry, but until you can show me any christian, who before science proved these scriptures false, who interpret these scriptures as you do. Doing so would have gotten them burned at the stake faster than you could say praise Jesus and it did. You interpret them using science, not the with the help of any holy ghost, and you must do so because science proved these verses, when read literally false.
Netwriter 9 months ago
@Netwriter I like that..
Established religion is not Christianity.
conradpilapil 9 months ago
@conradpilapil The catholic church are responsible for the bible. It is the tree that some 38K sects of the christian cult have spawned from. Always gives me a chuckle when christians attack the catholic church as a cult when so is their own superstition. Half the NT is pious forgeries by the fathers of the catholic church. You are in the grips of a cult, whether you realize it or not.
Netwriter 9 months ago
@Netwriter no my friend, but rather there were true Christians with-in the Catholic Church. Just like the south in slavery days used the Bible to justify it, but the true Christians helped the underground movement. Or any number of other things I could point out. "Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn"
conradpilapil 9 months ago
(1 Chronicles 16:30) Further more.. even if there were errors, (which I don't see from this particular passage) does not mean it is accepted.. you see this particular passage is a recording of Davids prayer..
Think of this.. David committed murder to gain the wife of the man he murdered.. does that mean the Bible then teaches murder is good? No.. it is a recording of what happened.. Please use intellectual integrity in arguing the validity of your questions.

@conradpilapil Already debunked. Sorry.

you defiantly don't know a thing about the bible.

All right aren't you smart you entirely misquote a scripture to prove a point that is totally a lie. Lets stick with the subject and the object of the verse, In Psalm 96 He is clearly talking about the stability of His Kingdom, but you are so wanting to prove a point that you become a bigger Liar.
Mrpl778 11 months ago
@Mrpl778 How about I Chronicles 16:30 or Job 9:6 or Job 38:4? The bible also claims the earth is a flat circle, and is the center of the universe. What kingdom are you talking about? Your apology has been propped here several times over the past three years and like today, it fails miserably. A book supposed "the word of god" should not need folks like you to try to explain away errors and confusion.
Netwriter 11 months ago
@Netwriter Where does the bible say the Earth is Flat?? The bible is about the Coming KIngdome of God, what do you mean what KIngdom? The bible requires you to take you brain of the shelf and use it to reason. You say the Word of God is full of errors, I say your wrong bring your case to me and i will do my best to show you what the verse means, oft times you take a verse by itself and make a out of context point. The 3 verses above all show that God laid the Foundations and we cannot move
Mrpl778 11 months ago
@Mrpl778 The bible says Jesus stood on the top of high mountain and could see from there all the kingdoms of the world. Where is this mountain in the middle east where the Inca Empire can be seen? This could only be done on a flat earth. Jesus said those who believe on him will be able to do all the works he did plus, John 14:12 A Lie. He said he would return with the angels of the lord in power before all those listening tasted death, A LIe. There are many more lies. I just used one.
Netwriter 11 months ago
@Netwriter This says that Yeshua stood on a high mountain and could see All the KIngdoms of the World, It shows he is timeless. Which mountiain is not important. And since He is eternal how do you know that one of his Disciples did not taste death. Can a man judge God, NO, yet you seem to want to say that you are smarter than He is, Enoch and Elijah never died yet, perhaps they were standing their when he said that. Who says that we are not doing the works he did. Open your mind.
Mrpl778 11 months ago
@Mrpl778 No, it says Jesus was with Satan and could see all the kingdoms of the world from a high mountain. Is Satan timeless too? Face it dude, Jesus was a no show. A false prophet. Deuteronomy 18:22. Yes, a man can judge the god of the bible. His deeds are listed and they are anything but moral. Based on the actions of the bible god I am much more intelligent, rational and loving than the god of the bible. You are too. Jesus said those who believe on him will be able to do what he did.
Netwriter 11 months ago
@Netwriter if you are much more intelligent than God, create a world then, create life by your word, if you are much more loving, then why do you argue? God doesnt argue, he speaks and his words are fullfilled, yet i dont see you sir doing such great works. why do you quote the bible to prove your point if infact the bible is full of lies? you believe the bible to be full of lies than you sir can not use these lies to make your point. deut 18:22 talk about taking scripture out of context.
TheRestoredTruth 11 months ago
@TheRestoredTruth I am not omnipotent but much more intelligent. I don't see your god doing any great works, if you do please show us. I quote the bible to show that it is full of lies. Jesus said those who believe in him will be able to do the same and greater works than he did. LIE Jesus said he would return before all those standing there listening to him tasted death. LIE Jesus said he would DO ANYTHING asked in his name. LIE See how that works?
Netwriter 11 months ago
@Netwriter Did you ever truly believe? or were you one of the many that just do lip service, to believe is to also live in it, if you believed a doctor that said you were going to soon die, you would make arrangements, therefore if you believe in Christ then your life would follow suit, its not just a word sir, it’s a life and until you have given it your all you cannot sit here and claim these are lies, you see how that works?

TheRestoredTruth 10 months ago
@TheRestoredTruth It is not I who thinks he knows it all, it is folks who believe in talking snakes and magic fruit trees. The rest of your comment proves this. You claim to know what will happen one day soon, yet you have zero proof. It is nothing but an argumentum ad baculum, a fallacy, which proves what you are selling is a lie. The truth does not need threats to get folks to believe it. Only lies need such technics. Nice work there.
Netwriter 10 months ago
@Netwriter truth is not a threat but if it threatens your way of thinking or life then you are quick to deny it instead of being intelligent enough to consider it. you are the one sir, who is clearly threatened by the truth, I have no fears of your beliefs, I don’t dedicate a page to deny something that threatens me, rather to spread good news of Christ Jesus! I'll pray for you!!!
TheRestoredTruth 10 months ago
@TheRestoredTruth The problem is that your good news, comes with a threat that if I don't buy into it, I will be tortured for eternity. This shows that your good news is nothing but a lie and distant from the truth. I do fear your belief, as it is based on the superstition, the morality and bigotry, the justice and science of the bronze age. Its detrimental effects have plagued mankind for 1900 years. I will pray to Zeus that he awakens you from your delusion.
Netwriter 10 months ago
@Netwriter How does it show a lie? I’m confused? have you died and come back to prove that eternity in hell is a lie? what proof can you offer there sir? you demand such proof from others, where is yours? if the Gospel is a problem, it is with you sir, because of your pride and so then you are full of fear and rightly so, because you do know its truth, though you do not want to admit it, Pray to Jesus Christ, and watch the scales fall from your eyes!
TheRestoredTruth 10 months ago
@TheRestoredTruth Have you died and come back to prove that eternity in hell or heaven is the truth? What proof can you offer? I have made no positive claims, so the burden of proof is not with me. You claim there is a god, this god is the bible one, that there is a hell and if I don't believe all this stuff that you have no proof is real, that I will burn for ever in this supposed hell. Wow!
Netwriter 9 months ago
@Netwriter Then why ask for a cure for it? cannot zeus perform such a task for you? talk about silly, bashing God because of, as you say no proof, yet turning to no god at all (zeus) in which you yourself claim no proof, doesn’t quite make sense at all now does it? critical thinking skills? does it take critical thinking skills to do what you have just done?????? wow! I thought you said that you were much more intelligent than God Himself??
TheRestoredTruth 9 months ago
@TheRestoredTruth I use Zeus to show you how silly you sound and how you have no more evidence for your god than I do for Zeus. Besides lacking critical thinking skills you don't recognize sarcasm either. You offered to pray for me so I asked you to pray for a cure for a very bad disease your god created.
Now answer my question about why you blame Satan and Man and give your omni god a free pass when all logic points to everything being his will and his fault. No more red herrings!!!
Netwriter 9 months ago

Mrpl778 11 months ago

Just wondering...if you term the Bible the book of lies, which book exactly is your book of truth (I can't wait to hear this one...)
One24100kDash 1 year ago
@One24100kDash My time of judgement? What proof do you have of such an event? Threatening me with judgement day etc... is call an argumentum ad baculum, a debate fallacy which proves what you are selling is a lie. The truth does not require threats to get folks to believe it. Only a fool uses but a single book to find truth. I started with the bible but realized it is nothing but a book of mythology, superstition and fiction. My reading list since then is vast. How about yours?
Netwriter 1 year ago
@Netwriter Try opening up the book before you attack it with your shallow remarks. Try Romans 14:10-12 for starters "So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. For the Scriptures say, “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bend to me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.'" 12 Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.
One24100kDash 1 year ago
@One24100kDash I have read the bible cover to cover several times. I studied it as a believer for 40 years. I have no doubt I know your book better than you do. Quoting the bible to me is about as effective as me quoting the Koran to you. Until you can prove your book is the word of a god to quote it is worthless. Again I ask what proof do you have that there will be a judgement day or that your god is more than just your imaginary invisible friend? Prepare to meet Zeus, he loves you so much.
Netwriter 1 year ago
@Netwriter ok. I'll bite. What proof of Zeus do you have? this is actually starting to make me laugh...
One24100kDash 1 year ago
@One24100kDash I have the same proof of Zeus as you do for your four gods, which is none at all. Sounds pretty silly when I start talking about a god you don't believe in doesn't it? I sound like a little kid talking about Santa. You sound just as silly talking about your god, his eternal torture chamber, and the day of judgement. You have proved you believe based on fear and tried to pull that on me with your argumentum ad baculum. Just praise Zeus and believe before you end up in hell.
Netwriter 1 year ago
@Netwriter My belief comes from love. Any "fear" of God is purely reverential (like a child reveres their parents). My proof that the Bible is the Word of God? Answered prayers, my prosperity which in the natural isn't logical; the peace, joy, and comfort I experience even when outward circumstances aren't conducive to peace, joy, and comfort. I'm sorry you spent so many years as a disappointed Christian but it wasn't God's system that was faulty, it was yours. God ALWAYS does his part.
One24100kDash 1 year ago
@One24100kDash No parent will send their child to be tortured for eternity. How you can love such an evil being as the bible god is beyond me. If prayer works as you claim and Jesus promised John 14:13 then pray for a cure for childhood leukemia. No qualifications, it is a promise. The bible claims god does not want me to perish and he is omnipotent. If these things the bible claims are true then it is his responsibility to give me what i need to believe. So far he has failed miserably.
Netwriter 1 year ago
@Netwriter there is one area that God willingly stripped Himself of all power-He gave you and I the right to choose (freewill). When He gave Adam and Eve the right to choose between eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, He took away his right AND responsibility to dictate our choices. YOUR BELIEF IN GOD IS NOT HIS RESPONSIBILITY; it's yours. I don't know what happened to you that caused you to stray away from your faith but you will be held accountable for it nevertheless.
One24100kDash 1 year ago
@One24100kDash Chapter and verse where god gave up his omnipotence please. Here are verses where we are told that free will does not exist: Ephesians 1:3-5 Ephesians 2:4-10 Romans 8:28-30, Romans 9:10-15, Romans 9:16-19, Rev 13:8, II Timothy 1:9.
The bible says god does not wish any to perish. He knows what I need to believe. I need the same proof he gave moses, the disciples, Paul, Abraham and Noah. If he is unchanging and not a respecter of persons as the bible claims where's the proof?
Netwriter 1 year ago
@Netwriter You will be judged much more so because you are doing everything you can to corrupt the faith of others.God doesn't want anyone to spend an eternity tortured in hell, but it is by our choices that we will be judged.God sent his only son, Jesus, to suffer and die on the cross to save you and other sinners (including myself). All you have to do is believe that to be true and you won't go to hell even if you dn't live a perfect life. I don't understand how-after 40 yrs-you don't get it.
One24100kDash 1 year ago
@One24100kDash Why can't you answer my questions? All you can do is make unsupported assertions and spew sophistry. If god doesn't want anyone to spend eternity in hell then no one will. He is omnipotent isn't he? Why did he create such a place. He is evil to the core, just like the bronze age folks who invented him. Free will is impossible with an omni god, and is also unscriptural. Are you claiming that your god died? Really? I did get it finally after 40yr, the bible god is a phony.

@Netwriter Then follow up with Rev 10:11-15. My reading selection? That, mr.intellectual, was a straw man fallacy btw...
One24100kDash 1 year ago
@One24100kDash Again, only a fool relies on a single book for truth. If you needed surgery, would you want your doctor to read your bible or the latest medical book on the type of surgery you need? Oh, that's right if you get ill the bible tells you to have some folks from your church come over and oil you up and pray over you. Of course you only follow what the bible says when it is convenient or the bigotry and hatred in the bible matches your own hatred and bigotry.

@wethepeople1970 so your admitting that the bible has lies?
ChinnuWoW 1 year ago
