For example, news of even a 1% change of a commodity can send prices reeling. Watch, on the day a President announces that we will begin drilling offshore or in Anwar, the markets will move lower--just on the news. So yes, 1% can make a huge difference. Other companies and industries make larger percentages. If you don't like it invest millions in risky exploration, and join their club, or buy some oil stocks and share their profits with them.
