I think the N64 is what made ps3 and wii and 360 step up their game. A poll was taken to see which console was the BEST in 2009...and N64 OWNED. I think this is because games like those stuck with us, they shaped us..I mean I think we all wore a red hand and overalls, and stomped around pretending to be Mario, or Luigi...or ran around in green pretending to be Link. These types of games hold special value..that NO game today will ever be able to duplicate.

The two versions in Galaxy and Galaxy two are good attempts but still NOWHERE NEAR as good as this. No composing on the planet could make this track an ounce better than the pure perfection we hear right now.

It's just further proof that movie quality orchestral tracks, HD, 5.1, and any other modern bells and whistles can NOT outdo some old videogames. I dare anyone on the planet (Koji Kondo himself even) to try and best this version of this track.

@whostolecarlosrox I agree, the original 64 version cannot be topped. I actually prefer the N64 sound chip to the 'superior' Wii/Gamecube one. There's something about N64 music that's so much better than anything else for some reason.

I wasn't thinking about it's originality anyway, I was simply wondering why Halo was brought up when it didn't need to be brought up. @ieetmelon18 except i have a reason loooool. and they are not challenging, they are patient testing. you can't really dodge a bullet so in Hardened modes of FPS you bascially sit back long ranging for a good hour before you can move onto the next area without getting 1 hitted.
