  • every time i hear the tea party do something horrible i doubt this country even further

  • @coolbreezed Apparently it's hard enough that over half of the black population and over 20% of people over 65 don't have one (according to U of Wisconsin). Also, I'm generally against spending money on ineffective policies, and photo IDs do nothing to prevent fraud. The only thing it stops is people imitating someone else at the polls, and that almost never happens. Read the study I linked in one of my previous comments, it does a great job of explaining it.

  • Who doesn't have a picture ID? Its not a burden to get one. This voter suppression nonsense is BS.

  • death to republicans

  • @prooc Why do conservatives always show up on my videos, spew uneducated garbage, and then never come back to defend their ideas when challenged? Is it possible that you have nothing to defend yourself with and you know that so you think silence is the best alternative? All I know is it's been three days since you came in here acting high and mighty, and all you've done since is ignore my responses (probably because they contain facts) and stay away. Way to make your movement look good, idiot.

  • @prooc I decided that you're unlikely to actually come back and do the work, because conservatives never seem to return to defend their statements, so I did it for you. A 2007 study from NYU showed that a person is less likely to commit the kind of fraud a photo-ID would eliminate (imitating someone else at the polls) than they are to get struck by lightning. Here's the whole study: brennan.3cdn.net SLASH c176576c0065a7eb84_gxm6ib0hl DOT pdf

    Any comment?

  • @prooc I'm not saying voter ID bills are wrong to have, by the way. Where I live, you can show either a photo ID, or show a non-photo ID with a utility bill (or similar document), or have a fellow registered voter vouch for your identity. Know how much of a problem there is here with voter fraud? None at all. So why does Scott Walker insist on draconian photo-ID only laws that will disenfranchise way more people than the laws we have here do? The answer: he doesn't want Democrats to vote.

  • @Panzerfaust04 Why is it such a burden to ask citizens to have a photo ID? Not that difficult to get if you're a citizen of the state. Bill is just fine.

  • @prooc You literally don't know anything about anything. Come back and show me some evidence of voter fraud occurring in Wisconsin. I don't mean like "one accident six years ago", I mean actual evidence that there's enough of a problem with voter fraud in the state to justify disenfranchising thousands of seniors, minorities, and young people by denying them their right to vote. You will not be able to find any because voter fraud is a nonexistent problem.

  • Hahahahahahha, the republicans actually passed a bill that makes it harder for democrats to register people who don't exist and bus people in on the same day to commit fraud and the democrats are going crazy over it, lmao, what a complete. I hope people realize that the whole argument that the democrats are using about the bill being descriminatory is just a ruse to cover up their true motives.

  • Why would paying tuition be a requirement to vote, where in the constitution does it say that? Wisconsin needs to clean the republicans out of the state government or they are doomed to servitude and poverty, while the rich do less and get more.

  • Where's Rachels opinion on the Chicago teachers bill that strips bargaining rights? Oh that's right, Pat Quinn is a Dem and Mayor Rahm is the hill's golden boy.

Fuck MAddow and her Partisan Bias!

  • Republicans HAVE to resort to these tactics because that's the only way they can maintain power. They know they're dying and this is how they're keeping themselves alive.

  • Your out of order take your seat!?! I would fucking go up there and beat his ass to death. Then I'd force him down on the motherfucking steps. Demand he opens his fucking mouth on the step, then I'd stomp on him! Fuck you crypt keeper looking piece of shit!

  • @Newenlightenmentnow Didn't that piss you off man! I'm with you! I would beat that fuckers ass unmercifully!

  • Everyone get your rifles. Let's go hunting republicans.

  • RepubliCONS never cease to amaze me with how hypocritical they are and how whacked out their policies are!! They are running this country all right....directly into the ground and taking our rights one by one with them.

  • Little by little, slowly but sure, we are losing our rights.

  • How do you stiop this. The GOP has to be stopped. It is horrible. What

are they doing to America. I hate the repulbicans

  • She forgot the FIRST thing the Republicans did was pass a tax-CUT for businesses. Of course, this led to a shortfall in incoming money, therefore the next thing they did was declare "FISCAL EMERGENCY", and started their attacks on the unions.

I seriously cannot register or vote Republican again. My formerly beloved party has COMPLETELY gone off the rails.

  • Land of the free..... Bullshit it is!

  • i've said this many times: ijust don't get it. in what kind of democracy is this even possible?! why at all, are there different voting regulations in every state? what country is this were from state to state you need diffrent IDs to prove who you are? this is ridiculous!! it is rediculous that this is even possible!

so, us-americans this is how simple it can be, and how it works here in austria:

people register, not just for voting, but they register where they officaly live.,

  • ....then they get theire voters-information sent there, so they know were to go to vote, with any offical photo-ID ,-two of which are easyly acquired by anyone who is a citizen -in fact you have to acquire one of them when youre old enough to vote and are no longer "a child of some one" either a passport ore a persons-ID ( a driving liscence or a student-id will do, but you need one of the above to get one of them...)

if you move to a nother city or state, again you simply go to the

.....district administrationt and register your new living-place ..and so on. if you are not at your official home town or city or abroad you have to get the votin card in advance, or have it sent to you, or early vote - again at the district administration. i think this simple system coult also be aplied to a huge county like the us.
