  • Wow where is the eduppu for this? looks like 5 matras behind the start of the avartana, right?

If it's not too much trouble, could you mathematically break down the korvai, it would be great. Thanks

  • @vthyaga check your messages

  • Wow.. where is the eduppu for this? 5 aksharas behind the end?! Can you please mathematically break down the korvai just for reference? If it's not too much trouble.

  • Son of the destroyer has posted a wonderful video. I wonder why he has chosen such a name in youtube. Please reply dear brother.

  • @shankarrful,

Sonofthedestroyer direct translation of my real name. Son of Lord Shiva. Shiva is known for destroying evil.

  • @sonofthedestroyer

are you the cunning sun or the other one? lol

  • @FutbolFanatic90,

    The younger one.

  • @sonofthedestroyer

    haha cool very nice

  • The Universe or Kosmos began with drum beats booming sounds from a distant before then the other sounds were implemented silently...thus from silence and lesser sounds to thundering and Big Banging and the mystery continues to INFINITE TIME!!!~X~!!!~O~!!!XXX!!!~Hailab~!!!

  • @hailabg,

Yes! The mridangam is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Shiva is said to dance to the rhythm to keep the universe in balance

  • @sonofthedestroyer I love black music wether it comes from africa or india it is delightful & very spiritual!

  • @azumanation I don't understand how you relate black people to india. Not that I have anything at all against black people. But the black race of people are from africa and not india.

  • @ragu0686,

You seem ignorant of origin of Indian people. Dravidians are proven to have DNA similar to kushite east africans. I know one person who mistook mridangam for an African drum. I asked her why and she said it has that 'dynamic black rhythm'.

Several tamil scholars have done work on this

Oldest dravidian Indian people did not fall from the sky did they? Where do you think they came from?

Dravidians are just as much black as africans.

  • @petiso8,

Indians come in many different appearances. Same way Africans do also.

  • There are plenty of Indians who can easily be mistaken for African. You need to stop thinking all Indians look like people in Bollywood movies

  • That's really worth to watch and rate best, real genius!

  • y dont u upload any of Dr T.K.Murthy's thanis? He is a living legend today, playing even at the grand old age of 86!

  • @nv85 ,

I dont have any of his thanis. I wish i had

  • I think I have one video of his thani somewhere let me check. Most of his thanis r audios, very few videos of him, sadly.

  • @nv85 ,

If you have a video of him that would be great

  • this is why he is so great

  • @FutbolFanatic90 ,

There is so much depth in his playing.

Also the part he plays from 3:06 to 3:20 is such trademark Raghu style. Very exciting way he brings his solos to climax

  • sonofthedestroyer - thanks so much for this post - even though this thani is only for 4 minutes, once you listen to it, it is so fulfilling...mark of a true genius...also his kappi instrument is so nice

  • @manicrhythm,

True. I would like to try a 1-2 pitch Kappi mridangam. Do you have one?

  • Yes I do, but it is due some new saadham, they are really hard to maintain in cold weather
