  • I would choose A1 because it makes steak taste better!

  • @Aleks47666 it can also be fake, the ones on ebay!

  • @Aleks47666 yes on ebay the costs 100-150 but in a real hunting shop in Sweden it costs around 200$. Fallkniven orginal name Fällkniven. The company deliver to the Swedish king.... The reason why it costs more in Sweden is cuz we have so high taxes...

  • These are the best of military/hunting/survival knives. I may think like this but its only because im a swede. Very good steel. I prefer the A1. If you think that the A1 is to heavy youre a pussy

  • Hi. If you think that the A1 is too heavy and F1 is pretty short/small, why you didn't choose something in between - Fallkniven S1 (forest knife) ? Thanks a lot.

  • I own several knives from this company and you really cannot go wrong with any of them. The quality and craftsmanship is great. The ones they have in 3G steel are amazing. I got one of the limited run of F1's in 3G and the edge retentions is great. Thanks for posting your video.

One thing I do with all of mine is get the Kydex sheath and wrap with paracord in case I need it, I also take overly long retention strap and fold it underneath itself securing it with a gob of shoe goo.....

  • @mrganjasmokin

I guess the srk laminated too.

  • for such a price they should have some form of jimping and better palm swells as well as a more useful sheath

  • if you would choose 1 what would you pick

  • @campinggear1 S1

  • @campinggear1 A1 is more hewy and tuffer made fore long time use/prob hole life off use. I gote them both the balance is mutch better in A1. and the F1 is good as A sergenknife..

  • Where you bought the F1?What was the cost?

  • @Aleks47666

In Sweden were the company comes from it costs:

The A1 cost around 300 US dollars (200 euros/2000 SEK) IN SWEDEN

The F1 cost around 210 US dollars (136 euros/ 1300 SEK) IN SWEDEN

  • @Bassen97 It's a mystery for me - why then, for instance, on ebay F1 costs 100-150$ not 210?(Why in Sweden it costs more - that's what bothers me)

  • @lonepantherkmt Still using kiddie language. lol. I feel sorry for pathetic child like yourself.

  • @lonepantherkmt Not at all. Laughing at you actually. Your calling me a fag, and the way your writing that is the GAYEST thing I or anyone else here has heard. How old are you? You cant be older han 10. "faggy fag" show YOU havent even dropped your little seedlings yet.

  • @lonepantherkmt Lol, wow. how much do you get beat up a day? "faggy fag"?! really? Come with something a little more creative than that FUDGEPACKER<<<<<see how that works?

  • @lonepantherkmt Bro, calling someone a puss and a fag over a knife show how much of a SISSY you are little BOY.

  • Cold steel is a Ok. knife but a bit show-of !!!

    The Fällkniven is a working-tool !

  • the fallknivel a1 looks a lot like the cold steel srk

  • @lonepantherkmt ,if you are so unsatisfied with life. Why dont you something about it?Dont be lazy...ACT !!

  • @lonepantherkmt ,I'd rather kill you haha

  • @lonepantherkmt ,ok no banana for you.Take your pills

  • @lonepantherkmt ,go eat a banana

  • @lonepantherkmt ,look in the mirror you chimpansee

  • @lonepantherkmt ,haha, i didnt expect nothing else from you than this reaction :-).You're a funny man.

  • @sprucepantherkmt ,thats nonsense man.Tell the Sami people that their 8 or 9 inch Leuku's are a waste of steel, and that they should stick below 4,5inch(humbug i say).Too many people are living in this "bushcraft" dream but really dont know much about it.All the mountain men in the old days carried big ass knives. They didnt do that for show.Do some research befor parroting the bushraft crowd.

  • great video quality. been looking into this one for weeks now. very nice close-ups

  • K2H, do you have any experience with Fallkniven's warranty service?

  • @mongomondomongo no, not first hand

  • Beautiful knives to have. One day I may spend the extra $ to add at least one to my collection. The A1 looks sensational. Thanks for the video, nice job.

  • ps i like your style you bought the A1 and the F1 those are the 2 i first ordered too, i dont really need another one but i feel like getting the A2 and the S1 lol

  • OK for anyone reading this, cold steel knives shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence as fallkniven knives they are 2 diff leagues, iv owned fallkniven and cold steel knives and fallkniven has a stainless out of this world cold steels so called laminated steel may look good but its crap in the wild, and also very hard to sharpen 10 min on a wet stone on my fallkniven and its as sharp as it came out of the box

  • i thinks its more for what the person prefers or what he is able to carry every body is different

  • what would you say is better the cold steel srk san mai or the fallkniven a1

  • @20tom09gt I personally have no experience with the cold steel srk san mai.

  • @knives2have fallkniven a1 all the way

  • @20tom09gt Fallkniven. Hands down IMO

  • @20tom09gt the CS sanmai is a laminated VG1 steel while the fallkniven a1 is a laminated VG10 steel. VG10 is superior.

  • @20tom09gt A1 blows it out of the water. The fallkniven is thicker, a little bit longer and has much better steel. Plus it's made in Sweden :)

  • I have both...i'm a big fun of Cold Steel (actually i have 6 of their knives and had much more), but i must say that Fallkniven A1 is slightly superior in toughness, sharpness, edge retention and finish...! The SRK is less expensive and still is a great knife...but if you can, buy an A1...!

  • @20tom09gt watch noss destruction test. Its solid, but it aint SHIT compared to the Fallkniven A1

  • @snakeeyes3211 agree

  • Blade surface polished?

  • @seuguy that's how it comes from the factory

  • knives done right.

  • I have the a1 and its a beutiful knife. That and srk

  • i have both these knives, chips out when you hit hard surfaces but anything wooden iv put it in front did nothing to the sharp edge, very rust resistant iv acctually sharpened them in the river at one point, another thing thats kind of bumming me the front of the handle is starting to come off i can probably replace it with a wooden handle, and besides it only happened cause i use them often

  • hi,

    Loved this side by side.

Already have the f1,need to have the a1 too now.

    Great review

  • Very good review, thank you!

  • yeah i really enjoyed it.

  • Great video! Man that A1 is so tempting but having spent a couple hundred dollars already this week on knives the wife would kill me if I bought it today so maybe I'll wait until tomorrow :)

  • @TheBgcheez That's hilarious! But if you really wait till tomorrow A1 should be back on our amazon store (see description for a link) :)

  • Ditto. Good side by side comparison vid! Great knives! Just wish they were a tad meatier and 1/2" longer grips.

  • great vid i opted for the f1....... to bad this vid was not up loaded before i did my purchase.......

  • SUPERB video comparison. Thanks!

Personally, I think the handle on the F1 is too thin for my small/medium hands, but the A1's is PERFECT. They should put the A1's handle on the F1. :)

  • @ayokay123 thanks for the comment! Glad you liked it.
