Oh snap, I just saw a photo of mine when I was 3 in Christmas '90, and the living room TV in the background was tuned in to this commercial and number.......glad I was too young/stupid to pick up the phone for this.
This is so wrong on so many levels. Who is so heartless to do such a thing, but it is capitalism at its finest. I am kind of between a rock and a hard spot on deciding if the 1-900 numbers that went after kids were good or bad. I know most of you would say bad, but think of all the money that was made from this.
I remember this bastard from when I was like 5 and I remember catching crap from my dad about calling this number. I hope this asshole and anyone who was a part of this got sewed. There're lawsuits for everything these days.
"Ho Ho Ho! Thank you for calling. I can tell you that you are getting nothing for Christmas. Because your mommy and daddy have a huge phone bill because you were stupid enough to call me. Have a Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!"
There was another commercial using the same number, in the tune of Jingle Bells, "call 1-900-909-4300, call Santa's phone, call Santa's phone, and we'll sing Christmas songs!" God, what a scam!
