Yes, I have a faster connection now which allows me to post longer clips and full episodes. There will totally be a combination of both montages and episodes now. :)
notice how before dick clark's error, the clue was "peanut butter" but after the attempted patch-up, it became "peanut brittle". i'm glad they had the contestant do the next round to make up for dick's slip-up!
The clips looked like the Winner's Circle dollar amounts had a skinnier font.
This appears to be either a Tuesday or Wednesday show, based on Dick's comments. So September 11 or 12, 1979.
"vnisanian2001": Based on your comment, the latest episode GSN aired was September 7, 1979. Do you know if they ever aired the "All-Star Junior Pyramid" special (September 2, 1979)?

Nope they never did. I wish they did though. It sounded like a lot of fun.
GSN never made it this far. The farthest they ever got to, in all the years they've shown this version of "Pyramid" was the Friday episode of the proceeding week with Dick Cavett & Tony Randall.
That episode aired in December 2002, as part of GSN's "Pyramid Thursday" mini-marathons, and that episode featured Mel Harris of "Thirtysomething" fame as a contestant (yes, that's right, Mel was one three different versions of "Pyramid").
0:22-0:30 was that Dick clark talking?

Also one of the last episodes announced by Bob Clayton before he passed that year.
