I am a student of Architecture and I am using the ratios related to music in relation to the space. I was looking for the sounds. Thank you so much for posting. I love it a lot. :)
I like it!, I am a student of Architecture and I have been doing a project based on the ratios related to these cords in music, but I used them to the space. They are amazing! Aren't they?
@Anuskadublin that sounds like a really interesting project, keep my posted if you can. yes the ratios are incredible and so harmonious!!! good luck with your project
@tractorkid223 you are quite wrong, our understanding of mathematics maybe very different from other civlization in the universe. the best way to communicate with aliens is through audio modulation of radio waves.
Well, it started out as an computer music piece - exploring digital sound synthesis and sound design (in 1997) the sounds created were kind of eerie and other worldly - all created via mathematical calculations and messing around with numbers!!!! - however the piece was an audio visual composition, where images and music were created together.....great fun - but yes it is a bit scary........
yes, kind of not in its most natural form!!! It had symbolic connotations for music harmony in a different context. The organ photos were taken in a local college where I live.
Oh yes, I have subscribed to your site in hopes that I can learn something. My next project is taking shape now and will feature green lasers in an interesting application.
I have posted one of my works for your consideration and comments. It is in no way as complex as your work, rather it is simplicity at it's best. I am working to use digital technology, i.e. the camera and computer, to create and distribute music videos. Of course you can turn off the sound and put on music of your own choosing and enjoy the "light show". I hope you enjoy it. You are on a much more "scientific" approach, and I find your work very interesting and beautiful. Thank you.
It does not appear to be simply a plot of some itterative function (fractal)... but probably a few transformations. If you add too much artistic control to it, I debate at times too if you can just call it math... Is Shrek math for example?
What I explored is mathematical harmony, based on the proportions and geometric figures that were considered to create the most pleasing chords in music.
it is not a very complicated mathematical underpinning to the work, what it explores is applying a simple mathematical harmony to music and graphic elements, so I suppose the emphasis is on "harmony", but a harmony that is based on mathematics
ah! it's cool, but it's eerie! can you make a new one with less apparent dissonance? I like your idea, but i feel like this thing is going to hant me...uhoh and here come the faces....wow that got scary as i typed it...
less terrifyingness, more beauty! but great start...
Too fast for me.

@tractorkid223 Does that mean if you don't understand maths, you are truly dumb?
How come I'm not then?

@louiseiiid I dont think my video says that - but hey all art is open to interpretation and I am glad you are not dumb.
