God, I remember this film, I got it as a present from my aunt in Australia along with "Blinky Bill". I never really knew how much in popularity the Dot films were, the only other one I knew was the first one.
I really would love to find a way to make a soundtrack of these songs (since I can't seem to find one for sale). The songs are awesome and I love them so much...but while I own the DVD..its not so convenient to hear them as I'm working on the computer. :)
I always seemed to notice that the rabbit has red eyes. Kind a freaky, but kind a cool at the same time. I must admit that his wish to be a kangaroo is pretty silly, but cute at the same time. Oh yeah, and this song just takes me back in time.
I've got all these on DVD, and I love watching them. My favourite EP though was Dot and the Whale. If I knew how to split the movies and put them on here, I would.
......... Come to think of it actually, if anyone DOES have those two songs memorised, or knows where one can find the lyrics, I'd really appreciate it.... I find myself to this very day singing 'Roaming Free' under my breath all the time but can't get past the first four lines or so.
I still have Crocodile Noonday Sun memorised thanks to my photographic memory.
"Oh I crunch up all your fingerbones and nibble off your toes, Then swallow them one by one... HA!
Then I lie for a while with a crocodile smile in the crocodile noonday sun!"
Of course, my favorite songs from the movie are this, 'noonday sun,' that Bandicoot song, and my all time favorite is 'Roaming Free,' though that one and the Bandicoot song I can't seem to memorise, too many 'Aussie' words and place names for me
I just popped my VHS of this in Today for nostalgia.... I gotta say this rabbit is a confused little thing. No one ever told him that only 'girl' kangaroos have pouches.
I always loved Dot's 'roaming free' song.... how much? I watched this when I was a friggin toddler and I still had that song practically memorised (as well as this one.)
Yes, i agree! I saw this once when i had just turned 3 (i'm 19 now!) And I'd never heard of it since, and I couldn't remember enough of it for anyone to know what I was talking about. I was beginning to think I'd dreamt watching it! Thank you so much for posting this! And if you COULD post the whole thing, you'd be a hero to me.
@MeryHeka I would suggest looking on Ebay or Amazon, as it's available on DVD in a 3 dvd set, all 9 movies of Dot on them. Dot and the Kangaroo, Dot and Keeto, Dot and the Bunny, Around the world with Dot, Dot and the Koala, Dot and the Whale, Dot goes to Hollywood, Dot in Space, Dot and the Smugglers.
Hey, just to let everyone know, a person on here by the username Whit451 or 457 has put all of Dot and the Bunny on in 10 minute segments.

The rabbit is the best.. I should draw him *is furry artist*
MartenFerret 2 years ago
This movie is quite possibly the reason I am furry.

Please explain.

You said furry artist, right. I assume anthropomorphic furry?
So, this movie is probably the reason I became a fan of anthro art.

I prefer the 'funny-animal' genre, which is the category our bunny friend falls into. =^.^=
