  • We miss you Kirby, you were a true legend.

  • I was less than a year old when he hit his Game 6 Walk-Off during the '91 World Series, and when I first understood what happened, I proclaimed him one of my sports idols.

    That's why I wear #34.

  • One of my favorite players when I was growing up. I remember his heroics in the World Series. I never saw anyone enjoy the game that much, before or since. One of the greatest centerfielders of all time. He is missed.

    RIP Kirby!

  • Kirby Puckett was the Best Center Field ever for the TWINS and he was the Kindest man ever! Wish the Lord didn't call him up so early in life!! RIP KIRBY!! TOUCH EM ALL!!

  • The good always die young

  • Touch em all Kirby Puckett!

  • Life is hard

  • one of the most amazing people ive ever met. ill remember his words, his game, his class forever. He will always be the person i will look up to.

  • Beautiful video. Touching tribute. Tremendous person. I have always been a Kirby Puckett fan and was deeply, deeply saddened when I heard of his passing. I used to live on the Wisconsin side of the big river, so even though the first 1/3 of my life i was raised a Cubbies fan, the Twins were always our local team and the ONLY team I will ever love since I was about 11. R.I.P Kirby.

  • I met Kirby many different times as my mother work 5 miles away from his house on deer lake, the best twins player of all time, hats off kirby, hats off!

  • well all miss him

  • poor guy

i use to live in minnesota but moved to california for school

man i will miss that guy :(

  • RIP KIRBY, I hope I see you again Someday,

    You will be greatly missed,

Your a great person. It was great to meet you.

  • the best world serie ever!

  • Thanks for the great tribute. I grew up in Louisville, KY so I only know 2 Twin's fans, my dad and myself. People would always ask me when I was a kid why I liked the Twins instead of the Yanks or Braves or Reds since they were closer or more popular teams and my answer was always the same, because Kirby Puckett is my favorite baseball player. Miss you Kirby. R I P

  • Touch em all KIRBY!

  • Im a Tigers fan...but Puckett was AWESOME...RIP man....

  • Even today, more than 3 years after his passing, these videos bring tears to my eyes. If you grew up in Minnesota, or the surrounding states that make up Twins Territory, you had one hero: Kirby Puckett. He was the hero to an entire generation of Twins fans. We will never see another player who played with that much heart, that much love of the game, and with a smile that you couldn't help but enjoy. Thank you, Kirby.

The Center Fielder, #34, KIRBYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY PUCKETT!!!!

  • kirby pucket = GOAT

    long live #34!!

  • RIP my hero....Kirby was the best player ever, not only for the Twins but in Major League history period..

  • shut the f up man

  • get bent dude seriously why do u have to put down a legend and a hero maybe we have something u dont have and thats a hero An Idol someone to look up to

  • Go fuck yourself you fuckin faggot piece of shit! RIP Kirby...I love you...

  • show some respect you fucker. you clearly have to class for anyone of anything other than the yankees. your so damn stupid

  • yep!

  • your such a low life. dont you learn anything you moron. theres more to life than the yankees but you wouldnt know that

  • mhmm. Keep going.

  • kirby was better than any yankee

  • Again, you might be stretching it.

  • so what he was still a great player and you cant deny that

  • No, you're right. I never did deny it.

  • you said he deserved death and i think thats uncalled for when talking about someone like him

  • Comment removed

  • shut up!!

  • another thing to add to my comment below: the yankee fans on here were still making fun of him for what he did after he got done with baseball: we all know that he made some bad choices, but when you really think about it, he all of a sudden woke up one morning and could not see out of his right eye. then he found out he would not be able ot see out of it ever again, which meant he would never be able to do what he loved most, playing baseball.

  • kirby was great. i just got done watching a stupid video of yankee fans heckling a MN fan wearing a kirby puckett jersey at yankee stadium. i think its in the related videos on the right, you will have to scroll down a bit but take a look at it, its pathetic. just shows how stupid those yankee fans are.

  • Kirby Puckett i will miss him.

  • makes me cry. I miss kirby

  • why is there glass in left field in kirbys homer?

  • The dome used to have that for some stupid reason (horrible place for baseball). They removed it some time ago and just keep the first two rows empty. I think the glass kept fans from interferring with a ball in play. Those seats are very close to the field, so now they keep them empty.

  • a soldier grows up a glorious boy.. a soldier dies a herois man. R.I.P soldier

  • i was never around to watch kirby play but i still like him. I never knew Kirby but i still miss him he was a good ball player

    R.I.P. KIRBY PUCKETT !!! ='(

  • heroes are remembered but legends never die your a legend Kirby and nobody will ever foorget you

  • R.I.P Kirby...

  • I'm a life-long Milwaukee Brewer fan, but like many of my fellow Wisconsin-ites, we have the utmost respect for Kirby Puckett and were deeply saddened to haer of his passing. Like another one of our rivals, Walter Payton, who also left us way too soon, Kirby was a class act and formidable foe, but someone you would have loved to have on your team.

  • Thanks for the nice comment.

  • Kirby Puckett is the all time greatest Sports Here in the history of the great state of Minnesota. Period!

  • he weres my favorit number and he is the best ever GO KURBY PUCCCCCCCCCCCCKETT

  • I still cry whenever I watch these videos

  • I will never forget all the times sitting in the MN Dome hearing the announcer call him out "and batting 3rd, Kirrbeeeeeeeeeeee PUCKETT!"

  • with everything going on in the game today we can only look back and be even more proud on how kirby play the game. i'm proud to say kirby is my hero and will always keep his memory alive in my two sons RIP

  • Kirby, you are without a doubt, the greatest Minnesota Twin of all time. You were a great player, and an even better person. 1987 and 1991 are years Twins fans will never forget, and you are the reason. Good bye my friend.

  • amen, my friend.

  • I was born and raised in Minnesota. I saw Kirby play 15 times. It was an unbelievble experience, to see the player that I loved all my life. I would only talk about Kirby when I was a kid. I now live in AZ, and he died not far from where I lived. It was one of the saddest moments in my life.

  • Kirby...Thank You..We will always and forever love you; and miss you greatly...You're ARE the best..

  • I wouldnt call him the best citizen the game ever had, he had his faults, but yes he was a great talent and a good man all and all.

  • I've lived in Minnesota all my life and Kirby was a true home town hero. He will always be the face of Minnesota Twins. We will all miss you Kirby. We love you!

  • Dear Kennedy526

you did a great video for Kirby

You made an excellent choice for the songs and the pictures.

God bless you and Minnesota citizens

    Nicolas, French Twins fan

  • This is a Braves fan speaking. God bless Kirby Puckett and everything that he stood for in the game of baseball. I never fully understood his situations outside of the game, but I know for a fact that he was the type of player that I could handle losing to. Baseball and the Minnesota Twins lost a great ambassador when we lost Kirby Puckett.

  • all the memorbilia left around the dome when he was in the hospital and after he died just goes to show that the dome was the house that kirby built

  • when kirby played he was a symbol for how baseball players should play. his hustle and dedication is unmatched and more players should be like him.

  • RIP

  • i grew up in minnesota, kirby was and will always be the heart and soul of the twins thanks for the memorial

  • thats my uncle

  • This video makes me cry, boo-hoo. Thanks Kirby!!!

  • The best citizen the game has ever known. Was a joy to watch and when a kid came into contact with him he made it seem like they were his only fan. A true player who brought the game back to the fan.

    Love you Kirby.

  • good

  • Great clip. I will always be a fan. Not only for the memories he gave my generation with his accomplishments on the baseball field, but for how he had to deal with the vulture-like media who tore him down for the sheer joy of it. Kirby, the hero the everyday guy.

  • it's hard to think of a song that fits kirby's life better than "the dance"

  • very special and inspired. Make sure his family has a copy.

  • I agree, but it is a very well put together tribute to #34. We will never forget you Kirby

  • Very moving, although it would have been better if you had included some live video footage.

  • I would have loved to have video footage! I could not get it to upload, my computer was not behaving the day I did this. I have a short video from when I was at the make shift memorial in the days after his passing. Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment!

  • Very nice! Thanks for sharing. Twins for the win in #07.

No one will ever forget Kirrrrrrrrbbbbbyyyyyyy Puckett (34).
