i don't mean to be rude but there is a thin line between being tough and being cocky. Toph is a bit more cocky than tough in my eyes cocky. But she is still a good character
Shes the strongest Earth Bender to ever exist aside from King Boomi and the Avatar. She Developed Metal Bending for christs sake! The only one up Ang has is that he can take her Bending away and the one up Boomi has is he can Bend with his face. But other then that, she is pretty Bad ass for a little blind girl, Id be cocky too if I can beat your ass to a pulp without having too look at you.
@DarknessWithenMe Toph is a child, after all. I feel she gradually matures and becomes more disciplined as the show goes on. but you're right, she definitely has a big ego... I probably would too if I was secretly the greatest earthbender on the planet.
also, I do think she is being ultra-cocky in this scene, as one would do in a WWF-style wrestling ring (stage presence is everything).
