What happened to On My Own? That's a good fifth of the arrangement, surely the Horns complained? And I don't remember Bring Him Home being in this either...
@Saber952 We had a guest soloist for that concert, so what our conductor decided to do was cut the horn On My Own bit and stick in the Bring Him Home bit with the soloist.
Same with many amateur windbands, my band (Nantwich and District who i've been with since 2002 as MD) suffers from being close to 3 championship section bands, a second section, a 3rd section and at least 5 4th section bands within 20 miles where early all the heavy brass play. We have had no regular tuba player for nearly 5 years sadly
@GatorJerky Yeah, we've got a slight problem with that. And it doesn't help that our lower instruments are buried behind the big wooden panel of the pews... but thanks!
