I've done one 3 day Ayahuasca workshop a while ago, it was absolutely incredible & very scary. I faced so much stuff head on and initially had a scary breakdown with no ego to protect me. When I vomited it really helped. Saw things for what they were, not so much specific as a lot of general negatives I'd let creep into my life. Even sleep patterns improved considerably. Not for everyone, it took me over a week to feel mentally and physically 'with it' afterwards, but I'm a better person for it.

Dmt cannot become a toxin in normal amounts. If you take too much it can simulate serotonin syndrome by acting as a similar substance bio-physically, but that too much is a gram or so. If you eat meat you won't die, but the energy in it could cause a bad or "dark" trip. Best to fast about 3 days before taking it.
ayahuasca is high on dmt even in little amounts, and do you have any food in your stomach containing proteins or other unwanted substances, could lead you to suffer a serotonin syndrome that is a potentially life treathning adverse reaction to the drug, that may occur therapeutic drug use IF you survive, just remember just a little bit of proteins or unwanted substances can change the dmt, from being an psychoactive drug, to literally become a lethal, or at least very harmfull poison..

ayahuasca's cool but too freaky and hard to make- i'd just reccomend trippin on morning glory seeds, you can find them on eBay for only like $5 an ounce, theyre like LSD but more mellow and much less prone to causing bad trips
@spiritedone4u its pretty awesome. the way to do it is to grind up 250 seeds for a decent trip, maybe less if ur starting out or more if youre experienced, put the powder in water and put it overnight in the fridge. make sure no light gets to it and only drink the liquid. the high is like mellow acid- a halo surrounding ur vision, euphoria, interesting body high, closed eye visuals and changes in depth perception. it lasts for a good 6-8 hours and takes a while (2 hrs maybe) to kick in

The word 'drug' is very limiting, as in people's minds it is associated with a negative connotation. Ayahuasca is not a 'drug' per say but a plant that has been used for generations by mystics and shamans to experience things beyond our 5 basic senses. Before you dismiss this as a 'drug' I suggest you do some research into it and then make an informed opinion based on what you read.

The Buddhist percepts clearly condemn the use of intoxicating food, drink....and I think they would certainly include plants. It's really misleading for him to bill this as some kind of Buddhist experience.

DMT is a curious substance, really. There's no way to properly describe the psychoactive effect it has on humans. Out of the categories of psychoactive drugs (stimulants/depressants/analgesics/hallucinogen) hallucinogen is probably the most fitting one, but the category isn't really agreeable for DMT. Where LSD and psilocybin alters your perceptions and ketamine produces true hallucination I'd say DMT puts you into a dreamlike state which doesn't compare to any other hallucinogen I know.
@mettabee Not necessarily. Hallucinogens ( a number of them) are really synthesized forms of chemicals already present within us (such as DMT). These "drugs" have been used for many years, among shamans particularly, to aide in the travel to other spiritual realms.

@vx3k for a mind blowing but very limited trip you can smoke Salvia. it will last like 10 or 15 minutes. However those intense mind warp psychadelics are not good for you if you do it often, in my opinion that sort of abuse to your mind can be destructive. I therefore suggest psychadelics maybe two or three times in one life time.
@deceiver123m salvia is nothing like a profound life changing psychedelic in my opinion, that drug to me is a momentary im going to just torment your brain type of drug. @spiritedone4u its pretty awesome. the way to do it is to grind up 250 seeds for a decent trip, maybe less if ur starting out or more if youre experienced, put the powder in water and put it overnight in the fridge. make sure no light gets to it and only drink the liquid. the high is like mellow acid- a halo surrounding ur vision, euphoria, interesting body high, closed eye visuals and changes in depth perception. it lasts for a good 6-8 hours and takes a while (2 hrs maybe) to kick in

@spiritedone4u oh yeah and i recommend you buy some ginger root at the supermarket before you do it and chop it up and make it into a tea that you drink beforehand, it helps with any nausea (not usually bad with untreated seeds). this is the guy i bought from:

The word 'drug' is very limiting, as in people's minds it is associated with a negative connotation. Ayahuasca is not a 'drug' per say but a plant that has been used for generations by mystics and shamans to experience things beyond our 5 basic senses. Before you dismiss this as a 'drug' I suggest you do some research into it and then make an informed opinion based on what you read.

Even though psychoactive is a more neutral term, it can be just as good or bad, but w/out the stigma or predisposition for people to automatically frown upon

DMT is a curious substance, really. There's no way to properly describe the psychoactive effect it has on humans. Out of the categories of psychoactive drugs (stimulants/depressants/analgesics/hallucinogen) hallucinogen is probably the most fitting one, but the category isn't really agreeable for DMT. Where LSD and psilocybin alters your perceptions and ketamine produces true hallucination I'd say DMT puts you into a dreamlike state which doesn't compare to any other hallucinogen I know.

Alex Grey Australian tour = MASSIVE FAIL. Asked to pay over $60 to wait for over an hour and half. Alex spent the first 1.5 hours signing autographs. This is what I paid my premium for? Their are also other ways to help enlighten your ego without INTENSE trips. I prefer smoking of hashish, it IS intense. Just not as intense as a 4 hour-DmT trip. Slowly peeking through the door before opening it is also a special spiritual moment. --------All is one. One is all. Love thyself

@vx3k for a mind blowing but very limited trip you can smoke Salvia. it will last like 10 or 15 minutes. However those intense mind warp psychadelics are not good for you if you do it often, in my opinion that sort of abuse to your mind can be destructive. I therefore suggest psychadelics maybe two or three times in one life time.
