I average 25s and I can't get it lower, I think it's my cube that's not willing to be helpful... what brand do you recommend for buying a new cube for speedcubing (and one-handed)?

awesome video! that's a nice cube! btw, is practice the only way i'm going to get faster? i mean i only average 42 seconds, i get occasional 30's ,and occasional 50's, were you like this at any point? thank you!

For you, just solving the cube more and more will help you get faster, you don't need any tricks, really. Just get more comfortable with the method.

@cyoubx it's kind of annoying having all of these different situation, i tried watching some advanced f2l videos but kinda boring, but i guess if i want to solve the cube faster i gotta follow them, i use intermediate f2l so i have a lot of moves because i try to put the edges and corners in the correct positions (like corner on the bottom right, and edge on the top layer at the back) and then i put it in

@12345soccerguy When I first started, My times went up. F2L took me about a minute.

Honestly, I didn't bother with tricks until I was averaging sub-30. The more you can figure out intuitively, the better.

@cyoubx oh yaa, the round metal thing is a "washer", i didn't get any washers with my cube, so cheap lol. all i got was springs and screws, and the other centers, corners, and edges. do washers affect lockups?

@12345soccerguy You don't need them. They might wear out your cube faster, but it won't affect how many lockups you get.

@cyoubx So cyoubx, when you started to average about 37 seconds, and then got close to 30 seconds, kind of like me, what did you do? just keep practicing f2l? and memorizing full OLL and PLL?

@12345soccerguy When I got to 30 seconds, I quit cubing for 11 months. I came back and started averaging around 25 right away. For reference, that's when I started learning PLLs (I think). I started learning OLLs when I was averaging 18 or so.
