  • Everyone loves a contrabassoon!

  • When the low woodwinds played I got chills. Go LOW PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

  • @Bandgeek9636 You'd love my compositions...quite unlike my non-bass singers!

  • @ZacharySmith89 i would love to hear them!

  • Always a pleasure to hear this piece again. Amongst my most beloved to perform.

  • The only way I could even have any patience for the french horns being so out of tune at the beginning is if they were sight-reading it... but they aren't. My band's french horns play this better, and we're all in high school.

  • @tigurluver your comment shows that you are in high school. no need to say it.

  • @NYR617 yes it does... but it also shows that I'm not tone-deaf thank you very much. Them being out of tune kind of destroys that section of the piece.... I don't really see how you think saying that I'm in high school is an insult.... o.O

  • @tigurluver just that your immature comments reflect your age. you don't need to slam anyone. it's posted on here, so obviously someone is proud of it. and once you get more experienced in music, you'll understand that playing out of tune does not mean that you're tone deaf. there are plenty of things that can make tuning difficult. just be happy that people share in your love for music and have a listen. constructive criticism is different than just plain insulting someone.

  • Does no one learn English usage and spelling any longer? Wow! "You're" instead of

"your"? Not to mention the "frogie" post. Appalling, even if English is not his first language.

This doen't seem to be a good school for music, I must say. Tsk.

  • jeesh, for a university ensemble to be having this many timing errors... embarrassing.

  • @JessOnTheRun University ensembles are necessarily better than high school, as odd as that may seem. A lot of them practice significantly less than high schools.

  • It's difficult convincing good Horn players to brave 4 years in Minnesota, isn't it?

  • Sounds awesome - my college is playing this in a few days - I have the flute solos!

  • Im from Big Spring I love this song

  • Ur from Big Spring? Who is this?

  • @edawg4039 this is Braedyn I play Baritone

  • my high school band is playing la fiesta in its entirety!!! our bass clarinet and contrabass clarinet are louder though.

    great job doing this!!!

    -central hardin high school-

  • @panjasax

Louder does NOT always mean BETTER!!!!!!

  • @excalibur1812 it is when you have better intonation and tone. now that we have performed la fiesta at concert festival we have received a distinguished rating. -CHHS-

  • @panjasax

You have a LOT to learn about music.

  • @excalibur1812 i wrote a giant explanation making you look like an utter imbecile but i hit reply again and it deleted it and i am to lazy to write it again. the main point of it was, better tone and intonation produces a "louder" sound due to the physics of sound. therefore louder is better.

  • @panjasax

Yes....I'M an imbecile!! I have played professionally for 31 years and taught for the same amount of time. I'm sure that this qualifies for being an imbecile.

Please finish High School and get a better education before trying to insult people.

  • @talon1812 i dont believe i was talking to you. but if you felt spoken to then maybe you should be insulted. have a nice day and learn to mind your own business.

  • @panjasax

Well, you replied to ME and I got your message, so this meant you were talking to me. My suggestion to you would stay in school for a VERY long time and get a better education and learn how to use the internet.

  • @excalibur1812 haha well i plan on staying in school but im only gonna be taking about 8 years to get all my degrees so whatever.

  • @talon1812 You're rhetoric is pretty messed up. Maybe you should fix it before telling others to finish high school and get a better education.

  • @panjasax the way you're saying it though, it seems like you're saying just outright loud is better. you know it's possible to play loud with terrible intonation and no tone?

  • @shaylenmusic yes i know. trust me. i'm in high school i know.

but maybe i used the wrong word when i said louder. what i really mean is bigger, more presence. you can have 2 basses playing a concert D (which i believe is the starting pitch for the bass clarinet, bassoon, and etc on their feature in prelude and aztec dance) at pianissimo, perfectly in tune and it sounds huge, compared to 2 playing at mezzo forte out of tune. THAT'S what i'm trying to explain.
