I also hope that this song will help the victims of bullying realize that being “breathless” or harming yourself is Never the answer. It is important to Speak Up and talk to someone you trust to help you overcome the hurt and eventually begin to heal.
I don’t think that anybody really knows the true reason why they are being bullied. However, I think that I was bullied because of my appearance. I'm short, I'm curvy, I'm black, I was the only black kid in my class for awhile, and that made me different in their eyes. It was also a little hard for me to make friends because I wasn't like the "popular kids”.
I think that the bullying lasted so long because I was constantly bullied by my teachers; and when I was bullied by students in front of the teachers, who witnessed the entire situation, they did absolutely nothing to help.
I hope that this song will help those who bully others to understand how we, the victims, really feel inside and how much pain they can cause someone.
