He is one of my favorite players of all time. With that said, I must also say that he is not the most articulate teacher. He's a player, not a teacher. Great players don't always make great teachers. I sure love his stuff, though!
Very good player, BUT blues is not telling a million things a million miles per hour that mean nothing! It is about telling two things with a feeling that rips your heart. ;) Ask J.L.Hooker, M.Waters and the massive list of greats about it
I'm not a fan of Yngwie as a whole, but there are many little pieces of his TECHNIQUE which inspire me greatly. His vibrato has inspired countless others, and back in the day his cleanest playing was absolutely FLAWLESSLY clean!
its the same lesson from his 1st video, ive got it on vhs.dont get me wrong its great stuff to have under your fingers and he is an amazing innovative guitarist, but hes about beaten that horse to death already...
YEEESSS yngwie fuckin malmsteen bitches. use your ears to play.... im tellin u guys hes no genius its simple shit. there wise words if u can understand enough to see through his cocky assholeishness... but u gotta be dedicated to get there.
I don't understand all the yngwie hate out there. He is such a great player its not even funny. Sure a lot of his stuff sounds the same... i mean how differently can you make the harmonic minor scale sound? I find him very creative and his technique and vibrato is amazing. To sum it up... Stop hating something you cant understand... yngwie is better than you and likely whoever your favorite guitarist is. I like to listen to Randy Rhoads more but Yngwie is definitely a better guitarist.
@jasonsheppard93 emvy my friend ,, thats what it is,, people emvy, cus they cant do what they like from onother guitar player and therefore ,, theyr incapabilatyes . makes them furstrated cus they cant get it down ,, and so they start to hate and coment negative ,picking on this and that ,,, but hey dont rely look and pick on them selfes!!! ironoc isnt it!!! dont even bother with them theyr incapable.
i wish yngwie did more of these kind of riffs, i mean a bit fast, but slower than his normal speed and it sounds more epic but, i think thats just my opinion. damn my ears are bleedin for love
i have the greatest respect for yngwie as on of the true game changers of the guitar world but his ridiculous attempt to demonstrate true blues feel is as pathetic as seeing stevie ray demonstrate proper classical feel. stick to what u do best yngwie ....shred. thats it . just shred. if anybodys really interested in seeing real blues players ...watch stevie ray..larry carlton ..n robben ford.
@oneman1970 He doesn't have much sense of blues style but his hands are every bit as smooth as Clapton or King IMO. His compressed sound doesn't help it either.
crap just stick to the harmonic minor

Horrible, horrible teacher haha. Horrible musician too. Very technical. He's one of the fastest guitarists out there, but...just not musical.
