This recording has Rick Andrews on Bass. He was the original Bass Player, and a huge contributer to the Original Freeze sound, which in my opinion was the best as well. Rick left big shoes to fill.... This was the first Freeze recording with the new 15 yr old guy Lunchmeat on guitar. There is an original band recording somewhere, more punk than hardcore sounding. You can hear the the power of the original line-up on The original AMERICAN TOWN. released 1980 on WBCN's "wicked good Time" comp.
This is one of my absolute favorite songs of all of 80's punk. The bass lines are fantastic (most all of them are from this line up), it's a story song (quite rare in punk at that time and The Freeze got shit for it from the local "scene") that fits the music perfectly and it's popping with a jumpy energy. I can't get enough of The Freeze from this period.
