  • also wanted to add i called their customer service. it was ok but could barely understand the indian on the other end probably in india. but who cares since you probably will have no coverage to call customer service or it will blank out for seconds or drop you at the drop of a hat, and then the battery will die on you. so unless you never ever leave the city or drive very far and have an extra 2 charged batteries you are screwed with VM

  • coverage is bad, works great in big cities, but anywhere else, like on the road (in a possible emergency) forget about it, calls drop all the time, battery life is ok at first but after a few months you cant talk 15 minutes without the battery completely dying, dies in like 4 hours of non use. i saw a episode of its always sunny where they call these phones "burners" cuz they are used by drug dealers for a month and then thrown away, that is what they are made for nothing more

  • I guess you never called Straight Talk customer service then, I cant understand them, they are in India, Virgin Mobile I think are from Mexico. I have had good service talking to Virgin Mobile

  • Virgin mobile was the best until I changed to AT&T. Like virgin u get everything unlimited but not calling. AT&T I get 200 mb of fucking Internet. My phone sucks from AT&T but I had the Optimus V which is the best but I kinda slowed it down because I gave it a virus xD

  • Virgin Mobile in Australia is like the BEST company you can use.. They have great coverage and deals and if they slip up they give you something. I remember they forgot to change the plan on their website so it was the wrong plan and without me even saying anything or noticing they gave me and everyone else on the plan $200 bonus credit. Best Company By far in Australia

  • Well if you've never had to deal with their customer service, you're lucky. I have been double charged TWICE by them. Once when it happened, they tried to tell me it wasn't their fault, but then they said I wouldnt have to pay the next month's bill. Yeah, because they were wrong. They double charged me last month and I'm waiting to get that money back. I had dropped calls left and right. Poor reception. It was a HORRIBLE experience. I'm with AT&T now, let's hope it's better.

  • I totally agree. they charged my dad's credit card 3 times in the past few days, but I still have no service. when you call the "customer support" they can't solve the problem and don't really care. they put you on hold and then hang up. back to t-mobile for me.

  • We have cancelled a contract with Virgin Mobile because it was overcharging us and we were getting higher than usual bills every month. We completely paid the balance of our bills (although the amount was unreasonable) and agreed that our contract is finished and we wont have any problems with them anymore. 6 months later I started to receive constant phone calls from VM and were told about a credit. That is really abusive!! This is not a company, they are criminals!

  • Virgin mobiles customer service sucks my ass. They told me 5 times that they are going to send ma a new phone but it is 3 weeks and has not arrived till now. They are such a bad people. I will say if you buy it and have problems, you will regret for buying from the shit people.

  • @himalchulicup you should verify the address that they have on file with the next agent that you talk to, i work for virgin mobiles tech support and i come accross this issue almost everyday and its because the address that we have on file for the customer is not the one they actually have. PLUS virgin mobile doesnt deliver the phones, FEDEX do! so if you have a problem with it, contact FEDEX too so you can get to the bottom of your issue :)

  • I've been with Virgin Mobile for 5 years and I love it. I never had any problems. Customer service does suck, but if you know what you're doing with the phone, then you wouldn't need them.   • @therosas It's not Virgin Mobiles fault you are stuck with an accessory. Don't buy over the Internet and you'll know exactly what you are getting. If you knew what you were doing, you wouldn't need customer service. I've been with Virgin for 5 years. The only time I ever called customer service was to set up my account the very first time.

  • I bought the TNT Kyocera virgin Mobile three years ago, It's a $9 phone ,,still working no problems at all,, of course now Im going to get the Blackberry 8530 for only $99,,so I ask you , What the hell are you talking about?

  • @TheOMARAMOR I got a samsung with camera, It cost me only $19 dollars, everything works perfect, and just every month add my top up card of $30 dollars, I don't have to deal with costumer service it all, sometimes my friends got more trouble with the reception than me, and they always are complainting about the expensive of their bills, I'm with VM for several years and I'm happy with my service

  • this is basically the same reasone i switched to another company. the service WAS terrible. also that hassle with contracts. i found Straight talk rather reliable and my GF loves the phones. win win. cheap too with unlimited everything for 45$ cant be beat.

  • OMG I totally agree!!! I have one phone (I'm gonna do a review on it too!) that I bought from them that never got activated because guess what? The serial number wasn't free! A brand new freakin' phone--with a locked serial number that belonged to someone else! I bought it off the website too! And I am so mad about this!
