DEAR John19: agreed that "hope is death", that was once uttered by the late Indian thinker Jiddu Krishnamurti, but I disagree with you as regards prayer. Based on personal experience prayer does work. However, it only works for those who believe in Life & the Life Process, some call That Proces "God". (Or what have you?)
