@bronymac IK! I got mine in June, and the guy said they only had ONE left. But they had to ship it from another mall :( The good part was, it was only THRITY DOLLARS.

the upgrade SUCKS. when i tried to upgrade, it froze my phone on the first startup screen when you turn the phone on. it wouldn't turn off either. i had to go into the verizon store to get a new one with the upgrade already on it. and now my new one won't make phone calls. it shuts off by itself. it freezes EVERY single time i try to text someone or make a call. i can't dial numbers. if i do get to call someone, it hang up on them. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO I'M SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!

i like the added features and what the new update had but crimanately!! my battery only lasted 5 hours today! There is a lag when texting and typing in any way. That drives me nuts! I found the setting to quit the automatic syncs and continuous refreshing it was doing. I think the bg settings that the new OS came with seriously drained my battery. We'll see, im charging it back up, ill see if it makes a difference

This update is garbage. It deleted all contacts plus I can't add favorites. It just keeps overwriting the previous one. Sometimes it lets me add two, but then the third one will erase the previous two. All worked fine until the update.

@calferath Sucks for you man. It worked for me and all these other people. Make sure the only rom file on your sd card is the one you are trying to install. There are install videos all over youtube. You're half way there...

I find it to be fast compared to everything that I believed it to be, AS WELL as compared to 1.5. Its not like we're adding RAM, its just a nice increase in overall stability and feel. And just think, this is only a beta compared to what we're gonna get from Verizon when it finally comes out.

@carlosya2099 I think the only reason they would revert is because you have to be at factory install to get the true OTA update.  T

@gbrockriede it's easy to do bro. I had the fear of doing it, but all you do is power the phone up a certain way and hit the track ball twice and let it run......after that you'll be logging into your accounts. I Love 2.1 on my Eris. It KILLS everything that 1.5 had and doesn't have.

No, the keyboard is the same one you are familiar with from 1.5. However, I use handcent and being able to speak to text has always been an option to me. All i gotta do is while composing a msg, hit the menu button and it has a "speak" button.

It looks really cool. But I cant find the handcent keyboard in the android market, I only see the sms app. Please tell me how you installed it.

Its alright i actually got it to work i just download the wrong boot or w.e i redownloaded it from a different link and did what it said and it worked so im guessing 1 of the files didnt work.
