@NoDestinyLive4Now No it's not, and i am sure many people in the audience are pissed off because they catch not half of it, but nobody will protest, because nobody wants to make himself look like he was too stupid to understand.

Normally the hosts would translate it to the audience, Harald Schmidt's English is quite good, but i think its quite selfish of him not to translate for the Audience.

Most Germans speak a little English, but not as good as they would need to follow this show.

Very nice and natural interview! I feel the two get along very well. Seems they have the same kind of humour. But Schmidt missed a thing: Bowie talks about Iggy experiencing a night in a club where the people are eating a cake looking like the berlin wall and shortly afterwards Schmidt is asking him: "And what about your friend James Osterburg?" - Harald, you should prepare better. James Osterburg IS Iggy! It's his real name! Anyway: David is sweet and soo natural shy and well educated! Love on!

But having watched both shows for years, i have to say that the Schmidt-Show has much more depth than Letterman, deeper satire, more theatrical elements and they don't shy away from experiments.

Wie recht du hast! Ich mag den Harald natürlich auch besonders- seine Klasse hat es ja schon x-mal bewiesen- nur daß eben Typen wie der Schmidt empfindlich reagieren wenn jemand ihnen die Show stiehlt...und das ist meines Erachtens hier der Fall. Der Glanz des man of the world David Bowie scheint ihn doch etwas zu "blenden", es ist immer noch Haralds Show und der "Eindringling" scheint "gefährlich"! Kann aber auch sein ich täusche mich und Harry war nur nicht gut drauf :D

Wonderful interview of Bowie. He looks so terribly happy about his baby and his wife! It is lovely to see that. He is such a great artist and so inspiring, I love seeing these interviews that reveal more about where his songs come from.

Warum war Harald Schmidt eigentlich dabei? Bowie hätte die Show noch besser geschmissen, ohne Harry und seine kläglichen Versuche, sich und die Wünsche der Produzenten/Sponsoren einzubringen! Sosehr ich H.S. auch schätze, aber Bowie war 10.000x besser, ohne der "Show-Host" gewesen zu sein!
