The Fed is basically printing money (creating it out of thin air) to fund this "stimulus" bill. Ron Paul is saying this is illegal because the Fed was never supposed to have a central bank or treasury, according to the constitution. It's a little bit of a stretch, but logically it's a perfectly sound argument, and I agree with him.

These Senators are voting on what "they" think is best for the people. They were put in office to be the voice of the people and to do the will of the people. I don't think so. In my opinion, is possible for a Government to stimulate the economy by cutting taxes, adjusting government spending or by investing, not just spending.

I don't think the Goverment will profit from this "stimulus" package, though.

Well, you could think of him as your President. Technically, we don't have an official one right now and Ron Paul supports the Constitution (he is Constitutionally eligible too since he is a natural-born citizen).

A president is elected, but he doesn't necessarily have to be followed, unless a cult of personality is in play. Whilst I agree with what Ron Paul is saying, I am uncomfortable with the use of 'causes', since although it is common in the literature, it implies that individuals who would ordinarily know better and make sound judgements, get a rush of blood to the head and do irrational things when the evidence should indicate otherwise. Obscures the degree of risk, might be more appropriate.
