Hi! :-) I don't get why some are so against leadership and are quick to accuse them? Matthew 7:15 says "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." notice it says "sheep" not "shepherd". A false prophet is simply someone who gossips lies (let's just say, against leadership.) The worst false prophets in church are not leaders or pastors, but peeps who attend church who gossip and say false things about their pastors and each other.

Marty Sampson moved from United to the main Hillsong team in 2007, & Joel Houston is the youth worship pastor and also major contributor to their most recent albums such as "This is our God", "Saviour King" and of course "Faith+Hope+Love". He's had a bigger role. Even Jad Gillies has a bigger role.

@lindastl My guess would be she and other prominent worship leaders are stepping back not completely but rather letting the younger ones arise. A new generation of worship leaders. That happens in every ministry I think so it's no surprise to me. I love her tho, the way she leads & worship's. But change is good after sometime. GBU too.

@lindastl i went to hillsong church for 2 years, and Joel has been the worship director for a while now. it's becoz darlene and her husband have chosen a diferent path in ministry and they minister all over the world now. it's a new chapter for her and for the church. very exciting! altho i do miss darlene, she's very annointed and special.

This is a really uplifting message. Hillsong is one of my very favorite bands. Can't wait to buy the new album. Hope I can see them in concert someday. Also, please pray for the Marathi people everybody; close to 100,000,000 don't know Jesus. Groups like the India Gospel League, iglworld, and others try to witness to these people with the Good News of Salvation through Christ. They really need our help to reach them with this message of love.
