I guess you like the "talking points". How am I uninformed? AARP is primarily an insurance company. They love the proposed legislation. Why? Because they know that seniors will have to get supplemental coverage and they sell it. They are a fraud. And anyone who believes that 500 billion dollars in cuts and cuts to doctors and hospitals reimbursements under Medicare will make it "better" is seriously delusional.

Sadly they are insurance companies. At least they do not try and say they are senior citizen advocates and stab you in the back. At this time insurance comapnies are all out to hit you as much as they can since they will be under some mild constrictions under a health care reform plan.

Yes, those are the plain facts Ted. I remember my parents saying a few years ago that the reason why they quit AARP was because of the greedy CEO of AARP had given himself a huge bonus. That alone was enough for them not to continue on paying their membership dues.

Agreed. I am only 53 but disabled so I qualify to join them. Thought about it a year or so ago and am glad I did not join. My parents keep trying to convince me to get a supplemental plan for Medicare with Scott & White in Texas but I think not.

I always wondered how much AARP was really looking out for seniors. An individual I loved very much died in October, and he should have been on a kidney donor list years ago.

This all makes me nervous. My daughter is disabled and gets Medicaid. She doesn't have any physical problems that we can tell (thank the Gods), but Medicaid provides her with speech therapy and they pay for other educational opportunities she wouldn't have otherwise. She's come a long way. I hate to see all this.

I've sent some letters, and I do leave messages and talk to her teachers.

If it comes down to it, I'll have to educate her myself. Not a tall order, but school does provide her with social interaction.

Fuckers take away benefits for her, and I'll just give her a little brother or sister to play with and home school them both. I work from home, grow food, and am pretty much set if the SHTF.

I urge people to act as much as possible before it comes to taking it to the next level. Have you done all you can in a peaceful and lawful way? If you haven't then you need to do it. Then we have every right to move ahead with revolution or something similar. Besides more people are needed or revolution is dead. Grassroots, move them up the chain of action etc...
