I got a shockwave and put the 2 speed tranny in it. only drove it twice and the front right dogbone i bent during break in! and the something is broken in the tranny so i only had front wheel drive. would be better off spending more money on a better name brand buggy. get it if your low low on cash and want something to do for a weekend

There are many, you just need a Tranny I believe. (Not the sexual kind) I know a few people who installed their own and have reverse as well as tons of models come with it. Most RC trucks I seen have reverse.

check everything between your tranny and your front end and make sure that nothing is disconnected or broken.

what happend to the tail? and i like it, i race buggys. I have a 1/8th ofna hyper 8 and a hpi 5b baja. i give it props mani like it, but htats why i have a single speed is because on them buggys its not good to have a 2 speed it will go out to fast unlike a single speed. uther than that its a goood buggy. and i was looking on ebay and this starting of the vids in all the redcat racing cars

air filter oil stops alot and i have a new filter which stops everything... dont no about the video person but it helps alot

no, it's got upgraded clutch, clutch bell, upgraded shocks, and the engine has been minorly ported on the intake and boost ports. The pos radio was also replaced with fm. Ive done over 60 but i haven;t gotten it up to redline in 2nd gear so i haven't gotten to true top speed.

I couldn't tell for sure with the music playing but was your transmission shifting into 2nd? I don't think it was. Or is yours a single speed trans? If it is a single speed you can upgrade for very little $ to a 2-speed.

Oh and besides who needs a 65mph basher that will disintegrate the first time it hits something sturdy at those speeds. If you want fast you can get the CT5 on-road car that will do 73.4mph out-of-the-box. But just try to jump that one..........hahahaha Or smoke the curb at half that speed. What alot of peeps dont realize is that these machines are HYPER. If u have no control skills u will destroy it in a weekend.

Thats the BB so it has the vx18 engine. With the right tires, about $50 in upgrades it will do just under 50mph on pavement. Its a blast to bash this thing. You can buy better buggys but this is a well built mostly aluminum basher. Completely rebuildable. Completely upgradable. Got mine for $195 new with everything needed to run including controller. (minus fuel of course) You just cant beat this buggy as far as bang for the buck goes. Its a real good basher right out of the box.
