@SSILENTNATION Okay, well I do not know what to tell you. I am not in New Hampshire anyway. So if you have beef with them, take it out with them and not with me.
good luck to you in all your endeavor's and I wish you the best in all you pursue.
@SSILENTNATION Plus, like I mentioned earlier, all the laws and legal drugs lead to worse addictions. Ritalin is way more dangerous and addictive, ritalin is an amphetamine. Doctors give this drug to small children, which hooks them for life on prescription drugs - so the pharmacutical companies and government can get rich at the expense of the population. I choose pot over prozac. I am not telling you, nor anyone else what to do, I think this decision is left up to the parents, people involved.
@SSILENTNATION I actually never spoke any of the words you speak of - But if I had a child, which I do NOT, I would rather smoke with them, when I felt that they were mature enough to want to do so, then I would rather them go out and do it else where without my knowledge. I know I say that not having a child, but at least now, thats how I feel. We shall see. I mean what are you talking about, a 6 year old, how about 16? Yes, it is educational, by the way - teaching them to think for themselves
My examples are correct though - you are defending a so-called law, and these were so-called laws too.
Kids smoke pot - you can't stop that - don't you think it would be better and safer if it was in an educational sense, such as protesting corrupt/criminal government laws?
POT doesn't hurt anyone anyway - that is obviously why the government wants it outlawed, they'd rather pump those kids full of Ritalin & Prozac instead. So, BOOM on that one. :)
@SSILENTNATION I agree, angry mobs are no good for peace nor liberty, hence why democracy doesn't work, Mob Rule. The 420 people are not an angry mob. They are exercising their rights as Free Individuals. So you say sharing their joints isn't a peace - love thing? Well, I think those people who attend a 420 rally are there to make up their own minds. I guess you enjoy the governments War on Drugs, and all the illegal activity it has created over the years such as drug dealers, gangs, etc?
You think this country would be better off with even LESS democracy? Remove your head from your colon immediately!
This country was created by the elite, for the elite - not the "MOB" (the word you use to disparage and undermine average and normal people who make up the backbone of this country, whose blood, sweat and tears built this country into an industrial powerhouse.)
@fczwartek Why would you think I hate the working middle class? Where did you read me saying that? The government hates the working middle class, not me. I am not the one who is destroying Americas manufacturing capabilities. I am not sending Americas children to Kill & be Killed in WARS of Aggression & Occupation. I am not giving the money the hard working Americans earned over to the Too BIG to fail friends of the government. It IS the government that is doing all this, they hate you, not me.
Because of your platitude about democracy being "mob rule." The problem with this country is that there is not enough democracy, but you apparently think we need even LESS. That's insane.
The upper echelon of the elite (not the "mob" as you call average hard working people) is who makes the policy in this country.
Libertarianism indulges and pampers the elite...at the expense of the middle classes.
@fczwartek Plus, you sill haven't told me anything that your democracy or your government is doing that actually benefits the hard working people of this country. As far as I can tell people are losing their jobs, losing their life savings, they are losing their homes, etc. While the rich Oligarchs who rule this country keep getting richer. Do you realize under this so called Democracy, there are more black people in prison today then there were slaves during the times of slavery.
That was my point. Too much democracy is not the problem. Corporate fascism plutocracy/oligarchy is the problem.
Less democracy is exactly what the plutocracts want.
BTW you numbers on slavery/prisoners are incorrect. There were 4 million slaves in 1860 ... and about 1 million or so black prisoners today (which i agree is still way too many.)
@fczwartek No, we have Democracy - but it is NOT what you think Democracy is supposed to be, Like I said, Democracy IS 2 Wolves and a Sheep voting for lunch.
Read the book the New Jim Crow on the slavery issue.
Government Kills - End of Story.
I bet you also believe that Abe Lincoln freed the slaves, don't you?
And you think Obama is different than Bush, right?
Even though Obama has been Murdering since his first week in office and has doubled in 1 year the amount of troops in Afghanistan.
No, actually, you're speculating. I don't see any real substantial differences between democravens and rapepublicans. They really are just different factions of one party... the Business Party. Both factions are beholden to the same corporate paymasters.
I heard an interview with the woman who wrote the New Jim Crow a few weeks ago (on democracy now.. which you should listen to if you don't already.)
@fczwartek The problem with your stance seems to be that you're taking the existence of a big government that controls everything for granted. You seem to be saying that laws should be made by the people - not by the elite. But us libertarians don't want laws to be made in the first place - by anybody. We don't want to be controlled by any government, regardless of if it's being run by "the elite" or if it's elected democratically. It doesn't matter - it's still controlling us.
@fczwartek You have it all backwards - but I don't blame you, I am sure you were trained to think that way in a government run school. One day you will realize the truth. "democracy" is 2 wolves and a Sheep voting on dinner.
Democracy is also what our government says they are spreading throughout the Middle East via WARS & Death & using our Tax money to pay for the killing, while those hard working middle class people you are talking about are losing their jobs and their homes.
We certainly are not democratizing the middle east. We're replacing unfriendly dictators with "friendly" ones who will do the bidding of our elite policy makers (i.e. corporations.)
Trillions of taxpayer dollars spent to enrich the shareholders of haliburton (including dick cheney), exxon, blackwater ect ect ect....
Real democracy would have prevented that. But you apparently think that would be unfair for the poor helpless lambs like chevron, exxon and bechtel.
@fczwartek Well the first part of your comment is correct. Thats what the United WAR States party does - overthrows leaders they do not like to prop up leaders who will bow down to the Empire we are stuck with for now.
Real freedom would have prevented that - because if we were truly free people we wouldn't be involved in WARS of Aggression & Occupation in the Middle East, we would have a robust friendship and trading of goods with the people of the world.
Freedom and democracy are not mutually exclusive, as you seem to believe. Democracy should absolutely be tempered by, coupled with, complimentary of inalienable, un-revokeable, undeniable personal freedoms, but it certainly is not the antithesis of liberty. A real and functioning democracy would actually increase liberty for everyone.
Leaving power in the hands of a tiny wealthy elite who protect their bottom line diminishes both liberty and democracy.
@fczwartek Okay so name all these working Democracies, where people are truly free, it certainly isn't here in America, the so-called freest country in the world.
And I am by NO Means advocating the power to be in the hands of a tiny elite. In-fact what this country is, what Democrats/Republicans are, right now, is exactly what you are talking about, a concentrated amount of power and wealth in the hands of a few - who spew the rhetoric of democracy - while at the same time controlling it all.
I'm not talking about the cynical Orwellian term "democracy" as used by our policy makers to justify our empire and wars of aggression. I'm talking about real functioning democracy, actual self determination on a personal, local, regional, and national (and maybe even global) level.
I think it's safe to say most of Europe, Canada, Brazil (and probably many other countries) are much closer to realizing that than the United States.
@fczwartek Okay, just because I am getting tired of this conversation, to compromise - if we were to create this form of democracy that you envision, which we have never had in this country - it would still be a redesigning of the entire system, so everything that exists today, 2 party politics, everything would have to be dismantled and rebuilt from the bottom up. European countries pay far more taxes, England has millions of cameras watching everything, They do not have a free democracy.
Man, you're getting tired from a conversation? You're going to have to build up your stamina.
I agree....the entire system would need to be re-designed probably. In fact, James Madison himself said the purpose of the government was to protect the interests of the wealthy elite from the greedy hands of the poor masses.
Real democracy was never the founders intention... creating a hierarchical system where the minority rich elite ruled over the poor "mob" was.
@fczwartek I am getting tired of going back & forth just not getting anywhere ... A federal one size fits all government can never, will never work in a country with 330 Million individuals, on a piece of land 3,000 Miles coast to coast.
If you want to create a local government, a local democracy, fine. Thats has the possibility of working because, say if you live in kalamazoo Michigan, and all the local people, local businesses are involved deciding on local laws, ok - but for the country, no.
Awesome Job FREE STATE People and everyone Participating in the 420 events and everyone Participating in Liberty in New Hampshire and elsewhere as well. Can't wait til I get to one day join in on a Free State Project 420 event or any other FSP event for that matter.

@SSILENTNATION standing outside a school with a "freekeene," sign is indoctrination. but forcing children into a government school system is not indoctrination? Also, did you happen to see me out there. When are we gonna get together and hang out. Maybe you could stop by free keene fest? It's this Sunday.
That's a huge camera Sam is carrying! No wonder he was so pissed when the cops confiscated it. Maybe it was another camera he was holding in the courthouse, because I don't remember it being that big.

Yeah, after I move to NH, and get a decent video camera! Haha! The one I have now doesn't do low-light/no-light and that's something I really want again.
Ew, no offense, but those potheads arent liberty-minded people. Of course, liberty-minded people think that drugs should be re-legalized, but the converse isnt necessarily true. It would help liberty a lot if you advised them to lobby their real leaders in the Democratic Party. Otherwise, stay clear of them!
ah come on ^^ weed is not really a drug. alcohol is a worse drug than weed. weed is more like a background substance like chappelle said

The Drug WAR, LAW whatever you call it - is a means of control. Thats it. It is a law that should be broken every chance possible.
