Well it's called a guitarlele, or the Kanile'a GL6 which is a mix between a guitar and ukulele. It is basically a guitar, that is tuned A D G C E A, which is standard ukulele tuning (GCEA), with the A and D bass strings. You accomplish the sound and tuning of the ukulele with the fullness of a guitar with those added base strings.

@Ellsbells5xoxo Some ukes, particularly those lower than soprano can be stringed to have 6 strings, a baritone can be stringed for 8. The differences between a 6 stringed uke and a guitar are 2 fold: 1. size makes a difference in the sound it produces, 2. they generally have 6 strings but only 4 notes as 2 of the strings are doubled up. On a 4 string uke you have GCEA, on a 6 string uke it is GCCEAA. The A is tuned to the same octave where the C is tuned either up 1 or down 1. Hope that helps!

@chargerfanCD94 Why not get a mandolin or banjo or an Esraj? It's also kind of culturally insensitive to say something like that. I live on the islands and ukuleles are very common here unlike the mainland. Our schools even offer ukulele courses where as schools on the mainland offer guitar. Aside from instruments being a personal choice, it can also be culturally relevant. Will you find a video of someone playing an Esraj to get a guitar? Ukuleles take just as much practice to learn.
