Rush has three musicians & what they produced is anything but simple. Regardless, Rick was a great performer on stage & on camera. Good for him. Got a lot of respect for this guy.
Still the one the best artist in the 80's. Loved Rick back in the days and still loving him now. Great performance. Feel the passion and energy. Thanks for the awesome memories growing up with Rick.
They Didn't Make A Video For This Song.....And They Do What They Do With Most Live Shows On Records Or Videos, I Remember The Singing Was So Loud They Remastered This, But This Was What Rick Sounded Like Live.....
Jack White , The Drummer Was Awesome, I'm A Drummer I He Was Perfect For Rick's Band, And The Lead Guitarist, Was Great, Go Meet Rick When He Does One Of His Meet And Greet Or Go On His Cruise And Tell Him He Could,nt Sing And His Band Sucked Live
I remember dragging my mother to a RS concert in the bay area, I think concord pavillion waay back in 82 and he rocked the ish out this song! Man, I was soooo in love with him, it was scary! lol! I thought next to my previous love Shaun Cassidy, homeboy was fione as hell and could sing to boot! Man, RS STILL has it going on, stil handsome and still rocking it out on stage! Miss him on GH as the fabulous Dr. Noah Drake too! Viva RS!
I remember I heard Jessie Girl when I was five, and I still like Rick Springfield.I was A teen in the wrong generation,I hate 90's Grunge, gimme 80s pop anyday.
Now if you had been born exactly NINE MONTHS later, that would be a testament to the power of this song!
I still remember how much I loved this song when it first came out...I was always so happy when they played it on my favorite rock station in Houston...that was when I really discovered rock music. I still get that same early-MTV-era thrill from hearing it after all these years. (Yes, children, there was a time, long ago, when MTV wasn't all that terrible.)

He puts on a great show but where in the hell did he find those parachute pants with all of the zips? Dont tell me that they are refugees from 1986.
RRydnew 2 years ago
Dude - the video is clearly marked as dating from 1982. The parachute pants were new fashion then!
rudolphia 2 years ago
Not dude but dudette, Yes I still have MY neon green parachute pants and they were fashionable throuout the decade! Thanks for the tip!

Such a simple band (only three people) but can make such great music. I always play this album on vinyl.
A1ofAkindChick 2 years ago 7
@A1ofAkindChick best 3 man band is RUSH. worlds greatest drummer, kickass guitarist and the singer plays bass and synths.
psykosel 1 year ago
@A1ofAkindChick I see drums, bass, keys, guitar, and Rick - I'm pretty sure that adds up to 5 people.

ES-355? What's that? Is it anything like a Telefunken U-47?
raymisra 4 years ago
Gibson ES-355? No, it's not a ES-355. It was a Gretsch slim body model.
