  • The creamy, warm sound of reel to reel. I wish I had one of these to master all my Cubase stuff to...

  • I like it...

  • Proooooopppssss!!! Fuck pioneer! :)

  • Very cool man !!!

Too bad that today "mp3 generation" never knew that warm analogue sound, the art of analog editing, the felling of looking to the open reel playing, and much more eheh

Sandra is one of mya favourite artists from the 80s... please can you tell me what's the title of the 1st track ?

  • das war siche ein haufen arbeit!!wie lange hast du gebraucht!!

    mfg

    wurm1220

  • This is awesome! I went to IAR and learned how to do this.. I was pretty good in class, but not having a reel to reel professional deck in my possession I haven't tried it since, watching the tape splices go by I can see exactly what you did, and this was fairly flawless! You can mimic a machine very well! It's a long painstaking process, I know!!

  • you can give me the name of the songs?

    thanks

    cheers

  • That has to be the finest example of tape editing I have ever seen. I can't imagine how you planed and executed it. You must be a pro.

  • Very cool man. I always wondered how some of those effects were done on early remixes and I never understood how tracks could be manipulated like that before the era of digital recording. Now I understand how it was done.

  • could i buy the reel from u that u played in the video

  • REVOX rocks....

  • those different colored strips are splicing tape. where the edits were done.

  • So, when you say where the edits were done... Do you mean that, that's where the tape was cut and then spliced back together again. I thought that was a special kind of tape which caused reverb.

  • What is the name of the mix because I didn't found it to download from your collection.

  • Isn't available as separate audio-file (yet).

For now, try to rip the audio from the big video-version of it (which is on the ftp server mentioned in the description).

  • I wonder which speed this tape is at?

  • 7.5 inch/sec (i.e. 19.1 cm/second)

  • Thanks

  • Nice piece of machinery

  • Definitely. Sound quality is excellent.

  • this machine is very good last week i buy one B77 new in the box, good quality in playback and recording..

  • I love this machine.

  • sandra cretu???

  • The one and only, yes.

  • I wonder what those different colored strips on the tape are called and what they are for? Every time I see them go through it seems to be for reverb.

  • Very Good...like a Pioneer CDJ-1000 effect...

  • good very good this cuts..revox is over...

  • easy.. i use to do that with my old c-90 cassette tapes

  • Show us! ;-) Or did you conveniently 'lose' them all in a fire?

  • well what can i say ? ...so you heard about the fire then.

  • is there somewhere where i can download mp3s of tape cuts and other ones also by other people too?

  • You should join the editheadz yahoogroup if you're interested in that.. There are servers entirely dedicated to those mp3s! ;-)

Also, check the link I'll post in the description.

  • wow thanks!

im joining yahoo just for this!

  • this is the greatest video on youtube!

this shows how music used to be made.. by hand. it was hard work! there is noo competition between this and any dimwit who can click a button in protools.

  • Perfect editing! Very very nice!

  • mucho bueno,nice editing.

  • This is the real deal...I love it

  • I LOVE THE B77....PS A GOOD EDIT
