Its about the subwoofer because like I was saying, thats the fun part of a system, when sitting in the car, is the subwoofer. And once you listen to the music without a sub, it looses all its life almost.

My music cannot be heard by people who don't want it. My band cannot be heard from the curb, but someone's bassy stereo can be heard in my basement. We practice with the bass lowered, btw so it doesn't shake things. I think it's moral to show respect for your neighbors or others on the street, don't you agree?

But the reason I said B.S is the whole thing of going deaf, ummm the low frequencies arnt going to cause hearing problmes as bad as they say. Its the high frequenceis that hurt. Now everyone is different, but I sat in a 150 db rig, didnt hurt, but the speakers and tweeters do.

my solution would be simple, a tough law. The law would be: If you can SEE a house from your car, bass levels must be lowered.

I'll bet money that it would elimiate 99% of the complaints.

And yes, I would start fining, putting points and confiscation of proprty if people can't follow the rules. If people don't have the courtesy to do it on a voluntary basis then a law with penalties are needed. Sorry. I happen to like loud music, but I hate boom cars. They abuse.

I also believe that if a home owner wants to keep reasonable transient noises out of their house, it's their responsibility to close their windows.

My windows are shut, I don't hear too many other sounds, just the occaisonal motorcycle in the summer, but bass cars are frequent. If people were just playing the music w/o the excess bass, being 80 feet from the road, I wouldn't be commenting here :)
